Mal sat on her bed, staring out at the air, when Evie entered the room.

"Hey Mal, what's up?" she asked, and walked closer to her.

Mal just nodded, without even looking at her.

"Hey earth to Mal, what's going on?" she asked again, but Mal didn't move. She just kept sitting there looking shocked.

Evie sat down beside her, which made Mal turn to look at her. "You look like you've just seen a ghost, what happened?" Evie asked.

Mal opened her mouth, but it took a couple of seconds before anything came out, "I need to tell you something," she said.

Evie nodded, while waiting for her to continue. But she didn't. Instead she showed her what she had in her hand. Evie took it, not knowing what it was, before she got a closer look. "Mal this is amazing!" she almost yelled and stood up, but stopped when she saw the expression on Mal's face. "Isn't it?" she asked, sitting down again.

She saw a few tears appearing in Mal's eyes. "I don't know," she said, taking back the pregnancy test.

"Why?" Evie asked, knowing that she had a best friend who really needed someone to talk to right now.

"I just never thought that I would ever get a child... " she started, "At least not back at the isle... and I haven't been thinking about it here. But... I just can't do it." She started crying even more, and Evie hugged her.

"Yes you can, you're gonna be the best mother in the entire world."

"How do you know that?" Mal protested.

"Because... because I'm looking at you right now. Because I've known you for a really long time. Because I know exactly how you treat other people, and I know exactly how much love is in your heart. And let's just say, that if you shrunk to the size of love in your heart, like your mom, you wouldn't shrunk, you would grow."

"That doesn't change the fact, that the only way I know of raising a child, is how my mom raised me. And I don't want that to ever happen to anyone." Mal kept protesting.

"Hey, look at Ben, look at his parents, and Fairy Godmother, and everyone else you know here. You know exactly how amazing you can raise a child." Evie continued.

"But you know what they say, you can't put your past behind you. You are affected by your parents, and even if you don't want to, you might as well fall back and do the same as they did."

Evie thought about that for a moment, before saying, "You already broke her ways once, who says you can't do it again?"

Mal looked at her, "You really think I can do this?" Mal asked.

"Only if you want to," Evie responded.

Mal laid down and closed her eyes. So Evie walked to her own bed. A million thoughts flew around in Mal's head. She wanted to prove that she could be someone else than her mom, but she didn't want to risk turning out like her. She really wanted to have the child, because she already felt a deep kind of love for it, but she was afraid that if she at some point didn't know what to do, she would just do what she was used to someone doing to her. She didn't want her child to grow up, being afraid of her own mom. But she didn't want to be like her mom, she wanted to spoil the kid with love, and prove to her mother that even know her love was the size of a lizard, her own love was the size of the whole castle. She wasn't like her mother, and Evie was right, she broke her ways once, of course she could do it again.

She sat up, "I'm just gonna go talk to Ben," she said to Evie, and walked out the door, heading for Ben's office.

She knocked on the door, and stepped inside. Ben looked up, and smiled, but then he looked back down at his work.

"I need to tell you something," Mal said, walking closer to him.

"Can it wait?" he asked, obviously working on something important.

Mal was quiet for a second, "No actually it can't," she said and sat down on his desk.

"Okay," Ben said, "Then what?"

Ben had half of his attention on the paperwork, and the other half on Mal.

Mal tried to say something, but the words got stuck in her throat, and she began to cry again. Ben suddenly looked up from his paperwork, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Hey it's okay, don't cry, you have my full attention now," he said, trying to calm her down. But Mal just kept crying, "Mal what did you want to tell me?" he asked, wiping some of her tears away, but they were just replaced by others.

He waited until she stopped crying, before asking her again, "What did you want to tell me?"

Mal looked up, "I just..." she tried, "I don't know how to say it. Promise me you
won't get mad."

"Nothing that you could say would make me mad, I promise." Ben said.

"Oh yeah sure, so if I came to tell you I took over the world with evil, you wouldn't
be mad?" Mal asked.

"No actually I wouldn't. Cause you wouldn't do that without a very good reason."

Mal rolled her eyes, "Okay, let's just say that." she paused, before taking a deep breath, "I'm not just me anymore."

Ben looked at her with confusion all over his face, "Huh?"

"I'm sharing my body with someone else." she tried again.

"Are you possessed?" He asked, looking shocked, and almost standing up, but Mal dragged him back down.

She lifted up in her shirt, while she said, "No, in here."

It took a few seconds before Ben understood, but then a big smile landed on his face, "Are you serious?"

"No, I'm Sirius. Of course I'm serious," Mal teased.

Ben hugged her, and lifted her down onto the floor, "How did that happen? Well I know how it happened. This is amazing!"

Mal smiled, suddenly it actually really seemed amazing. Everything was going to be fine, she wasn't doing this alone. Ben was there with her. She would have a child, who would grow up having two parents, who would love it like crazy. Everything was going to be fine, they were in this together.

Mal kissed him, and they both laughed.

And let's just say that after news like that, Ben wasn't really in the mood for paperwork, he was more in the mood for travelling across the country, to do some real life helping. Just kidding, the only thing he had time for, was spending the day with Mal, and their not yet born baby.
