"Dad," Mal said, not knowing what to say after that, "It's... I am happy to finally meet you."

Hades didn't say anything in response, he just looked at them, her, Ben and Lily.

He should already know of Lily's existence, her being Ben's daughter and everything, but in that moment she doubted everything.

The first thing she did, motherly instincts, was to make sure Lily was fine. She didn't seem scared, maybe a bit confused and surprised, but most of all excited.

"Grandpa?" Lily asked, not letting his dark appearance or blue hair scare her the slightest bit.

Mal held her a bit closer to herself, and said, "Yes, that he is."

Mal didn't really want to let go of her, but she fought her best to get out of her arms. When she succeeded and Mal placed her down, Mal finally looked up at her fathers face again.

He looked so different compared to all the thought she had had of him through out the years. She had imagined an evil non caring man who only cared about dead and misery, but when she looked at him and saw how he looked at Lily, she knew there were also love somewhere in his heart.

Lily didn't hesitate before reaching her arms up for Hades. Mal found the situation a bit awkward, knowing that she hadn't even given him a hug yet or even had a conversation with him... but she wouldn't want to make her scared of him, she didn't want to take away her pure heart and trust in people.

Hades bent down to pick her up, and then he looked at Mal again, "She's a lovely girl," he said.

Mal smiled and nodded, "I know." She had so many questions she wanted to ask him. Why he had left her and why he had never once showed up in her life, but today was her wedding day, and she wanted it to be a happy one. There would be plenty of days in the future to ask all those questions, but that day was not today.

It was like neither of them, well except Lily, knew what to say in this situation, but eventually Ben broke the silence, "We should better get going, our wedding is starting soon."

"Will you be there?" Mal asked her dad.

He hesitated, but he nodded, "Of course I'll be there."

Mal felt even happier when she left the platform and went for her wedding, than she had done that morning.

Lily hadn't really wanted to leave Hades, but Mal hadn't wanted to leave her with him, not because she didn't trust him, because for some strange reason she did, but because she knew he had no experience with this and even though he meant good she was afraid he could still end up doing bad.

------

Mal of course wasn't wearing the traditional white dress for the wedding, but a purple one instead. This wasn't only about them getting married, but also about her becoming queen, and for that she wanted to be herself completely.

Lily was also dressed in a purple dress, because she loved the color and had argued that if Mal could wear it she could too.

Ben was already ready and had left for the ceremony, but Mal just needed to ask her dad one last question before she was ready.

She spotted him in the back of the crowd, and quickly went to him, "Dad?" She asked.

He turned and looked at her, and Mal took that as a hint to continue.

"Will you walk me down the aisle?" She knew he had never been apart of her life, but for some reason she wanted this. Today she didn't feel mad at him, she just wanted him to answer yes to this question.

He looked shocked, but most of all confused, "You really want me to do that?"

Mal nodded, "Maybe it could be our beginning."

She saw a small smile on his face, and for a moment she couldn't even imagine him being evil, "Okay... Of course I'll do it."

-------

This day was turning out to be more amazing than she could have imagined, and for so many different reasons. It was like everything she had ever wished for, all her biggest dreams, were all happening in one day.

Mal felt her heartbeat pause the moment the ceremony started.

First she saw her adorable and beautiful daughter walk down the aisle with Evie, attempting her best to be the flower girl, and even though she didn't really know what to do, it was perfect.

Next she was walking down the aisle with her father, it was crazy just to think about and even crazier that it was actually happening. She then saw Ben, and in that moment he was all she saw. Their story reached years back by know, and thinking of every moment of it, even the bad once, made her more than happy. She couldn't wait for them to be husband and wife, because her love for him couldn't be stronger, and she knew that they were going to be together forever.

They shared true love, they shared a life, and they shared a child. The love in their family was one of the strongest she could imagine. Sometimes she forgot to think about how amazing it was that everything had turned out like this, but today... today she couldn't do anything but think about.

Ben had changed her life... Ben still changed her life, for the better. Once she hadn't known what love felt like, and Ben had sworn to teach her how. Thanks to him she now knew exactly what love felt like.

Seeing him become a father was also one of the biggest blessings in her life. Knowing that two people she loved, also loved each other as much as she loved them... and just seeing the way they would spent time together... him holding her in his arms... when he read her a story or had the conversations with her that only they knew how... when he sang her to sleep and gave her kisses to show how much he loved her... when they would play together or cuddle on the couch in front of a movie... all those amazing moments that made life so much more special.

Every moment of their lives together we're amazing. She was so blessed to have a, soon to be husband, a lovely daughter, amazing friends, and lot of other wonderful people around her. She knew this was going to be the beginning of a whole new life.

When Hades had walked her down the aisle, and Mal took Ben's hand, she kissed her fathers cheek, because it felt right, and because she knew he wouldn't do it... evil or not she knew he cared about her, and now that he had been given a second chance, he wasn't going to scare her away.

Mal wasn't exactly sure what happened in the next few minutes, all she could do was look at Ben and think about how much she loved him.

But then she heard the words she had been waiting for, and she knew that it was time.

"Do you Benjamin Florian take Mal Bertha to be your wife and queen, and love her for all eternity?" The question was asked.

She knew what Ben was going to answer, but for a moment she still felt nervous, but then she heard the words come from his mouth, "I do."

Mal couldn't help but smile, and she barely heard as the question was asked again, and realized maybe a little too late that it was her turn to answer. Hopefully she didn't make Ben too nervous.

"I do," she quickly said.

Now it was Ben's turn to smile at her.

"You may now kiss the bride."

And so he did.
