[Stevie's POV]
"Welcome to casa de le moi!"
"I don't think that's how that saying works."
I wandered into an apartment behind Jin, luckily we didn't walk up too many stairs to get to his place. It's only on the second floor.
Stepping through the door, I had an immediate view into his living room which had furnishings accommodating the dark wall on the far left side of the room. Closer to the door on my left was the kitchen, with the basic wood cabinets and granite counter tops.
"Nice place," I say, sounding more sarcastic than intended. Jin drowned turning his head to the left back towards me. I secluded myself back down into my scarf out of shame and continued exploring his apartment.
He had large windows and a sliding door onto a balcony that had a view looking down into the park below. The couch was rough, obviously old from some sort of thrift shop or vintage store. Bookshelves lined the darkly painted wall, and above them were various photographs and strings hanging across the wall with polaroid pictures. On the opposite wall, the white wall, were various paintings. Some were of people, some were abstract, some were both.
"Who painted these?" I asked. Jin turned his attention from in the kitchen to the paintings.
"Oh, those. Yeah, the two abstract paintings are by my roommate along with the one far one that's kind of abstract. The one painting of the woman was by my aunt when she used to paint, that portrait of a sleeping man is by me."
"Woah, so... you draw? And you have a roommate?"
He chuckles.
"Uh, Yeah... I wanted to be an artist when I was younger which turned to wanting to be an animator. Being a model, I can't support myself if I'm not a big shot model. So, I reached out to this guy I took some classes with named Aaron. He agreed to be my roommate, but he's never here anyways."
I continued staring at the artwork when I remembered what I came for. My expression melted into sterna and firm, as I led myself down the hall in search of Jin's room. I turned to the first door in the hall and the door clicked open.
Walking in, I noticed how it smelled sweet like flowers but I could also catch the undertone of cologne. Like the living room, there was a wall of windows leading to the balcony with a desk against them. A daybed rested neatly made against the far left wall, yellow and grey striped sheets to compliment the yellow colored photographs and artwork hanging across the walls on strings attached to fairy lights. The hardwood floor of the room was covered with an also equally matching grey and yellow rug.
I don't know if Jin noticed, but I pay attention to great detail.
"Hm," I say, nodding my head.
"Heh, yeah this is my room."
There were nervous undertones in his voice. I wandered over to the closet around the doors corner and opened it up. Inside was a color coordinated and sorted set of neatly hung, folded, and tucked clothes along with shoes.
"Wow."
My closet is a lot neater and sorted, but damn. I flip through the articles of clothing, observing the style and quality along with brands and how worn they are.
"Hm."
I jotted down some notes. Jin nervously tapped his fingers on something behind me.
"W-what?" He asked.
"Oh, nothing bad. When was the last time you got new clothes?"
He shrugs and sighs.
I click my pen and put it back in my laptop bag.
