Rosalie looked out the window at the gorgeous view. The house was nestled in the mountain tops and overlooked the huge valley, foliage surrounding them. It would be wonderful for their wolves, of course. She could already hear her wolf yipping to be let out to run down and splash around in the river.

Harry was going to take some getting used to. Especially with the insanely intense staring he kept giving her, it was driving her up a wall. More so because she enjoyed it more than she hated it, which frustrated her even more.

Part of her wanted to reject him and everything he had originally stood for. The taking away of her freedom, leaving her home, being subject to responsibilities she was terrified of. But he was actually her mate. It wouldn't be possible to escape him now. It would hurt too badly, and even the thought of escaping and running off made her heart ache. Besides, there was literally nowhere for her to escape to.

Harry watched her eyes return to the plate, a nice sandwich he had actually put together himself on it. She had taken a few bites but his inner alpha wasn't happy that his mate wasn't properly fed. She looked so confused and tired, even still. Definitely not as hostile as before, thank god. But still, trying to figure it all out.

"Are you not hungry, little wolf?" He broke the silence, resting his chin on his hands. She broke out of her thinking trance and looked back to him, shyly shaking her head.

"No- I'm sorry. I thought I was but..."

"It's a lot to take in." Harry finished her sent she for her. He couldn't /wait/ to bond her. To be able to be 100% sure of what she was feeling, to have her itch To be close to him. He swore if he had it his way, she would never leave his lap.

It was understandable now to him, though. She had been taken here in the thought that she would be forced to be taken away from her rightful mate, which only out of sheer luck happened to be him. He wanted to growl at even thinking of anyone else having their hands on her. No one else could even think about touching her unless they wanted Harry to gouge their eyes out. Preferably with rusty spoons.

"Yeah. I dunno. Don't take it personally, please." They'd basically already had this conversation but her wolf was confused as to why she wasn't already claimed, and her human self was trying to do things in the way she had imagined it. Waiting a bit, getting to know him. He was older than her, obviously, and she had a lot to learn about him.

"Coffee or tea?" It was a random question but Rosalie needed to make an effort. She could almost see the frustration leaking off of Harry. Not with her, but with the situation. His look turned into surprise at the spontaneous question but considered it for a moment before answering.

"Coffee in the morning to wake me up. Tea in the afternoon." He finally answered after a few moments internally debating. "Tea is better tasting to me. Although, a good shot of caramel creamer does wonders in a cup of coffee. What about you?" He genuinely was interested in her answer.

"Tea, 100%. I can not stand coffee." She scrunched up her face in distaste. Harry probably should steer clear of kissing her after drinking it then. Although the alpha knew it'd be easier said than done.  "Vanilla or chocolate?"

"Vanilla. It's classic." He decided. "Oh come now, don't give me that look. It's perfect with a little wafer and some whipped cream." Defending his ice cream choice was definitely not how he'd pictured his first day with his mate.

The game went on for a little while, bickering back and forth. It was obvious the two had chemistry, jokes and sometimes borderline flirty things thrown out there. Of course she was trying to keep herself in check. It was all going fine, until there was a big 'bang', which had Harry stood in front of her growling fiercely within seconds.
