the fall of karnos

Prologue

They came too quickly. First, they said that they came in peace, that we did for eleven years. Some people say as a false sense of security. The creatures that came was full of darkness, hate and terror. When our government came to meet them. They promised advanced technology. we reluctantly accepted very foolishly. These creatures were called the Daleks. It took them five years to take over our police force and our health systems. That was the beginning of the invasion. As soon as they took over these facilities they had full reign over our cities. And that is when they struck.

It was one of the most important nights in the karnos calendar. It was my coronation.
The day was cold but beautiful the stars shown in the sky as the ceremony started. I was standing in the hallway in front of of the door leading into the throne room my worrier dress was a mixture of red and green. My sword was on my waist my brown hair was up showing my Tattoos of my heritage. My orange catlike ears twitching in my nerves as was my tail. My whiskers were twitching as well. As I was 16 my fangs have grown in. My eyes are a dark blue with cat-like slits, my hands had claws as an extra defence that can cut through anything

The bells started to ring I take a deep breath as the doors started to open the dalekls were standing next to the doors their odd forms metallic they did not have any feet they only had one eye and only spoke in a monotone voice with absolutely no emotion at all is started to walk towards my parents around them were our court they were different to the other ones that were on at the door these had more colour than the other Daleks instead of plain black or brown these were white and grey. They looked as majestic as the day they arrived onto our planet

As I walked towards them, the people bowed to me in respect their tails waving in the movement. There were rows and rows of people. Finally, I stood in front of my parents and as we practiced I kneeled in front of them bowing my head, the trumpets sounded and the ceremony started

The priest walked in front of me and start with the oath

"will you princess Yeliah of Karnos govern your people in the way the gods dictate"

I swallow the lump in my throat and said my line
"I princess Yeliah will govern my people with just and kindness as the gods have dictated"

Then the priest rose the crown that was passed to him by one of my old friends her tail and ears were patched with different colours her eyes were deep ocean blue a very strange colour. Her name was Idna.

The priest rose the gold glowing headpiece above his head and said

"the Gods have spoken your future is set in stone and you have excepted your destiny I now crown you Princess Yeliah of Karnos and heir to the thrown of Karnos may the gods be in your favour"

After he said that he placed the gold headpiece on my forehead and I stood up my Tattoos glowed with the power of the crown I turned around and bowed to my people my right hand clenched in a fist across my chest. In return as an act of respect, they bowed back the same way

A sound of a laser and screams came through the door of the throne room aloud EXTERMINATE then a laser shot a body tumbles into the doors opening them he falls to the ground dead the gets take one look and started to scream and scatter the daleks start moving through the door shorting the guests

Idna grabs my hand and started to run towards the secret passage I tried to fight back but as I turned around stopped dead as I saw something that would burn into my mind forever my mother being shot dead in the hearts killing her instantly. I screamed at the sight of my mother's burnt corpse Idna coved my mouth with her hand and held me to her as she started pulling me into the passage my father followed bringing many people with us

After over an hour we were safely out of the castle grounds and 2000 miles away from the distinction in the enchanted forest that is said to hold the gods and that they protect the occupants of the forest we stopped in a large clearing Idna finally let me go I shakenly fell towards the ground screaming no tears falling down my cheeks as I came to terms that my mother was dead. Idna pulled me into a hug rocking me back and forth trying to calm me down

My father cleared everyone's attention except me and Idna

"As you know our so-called allies have betrayed us and take over our planet they have also killed your queen." he takes a shaky sigh calming himself before speaking again "my wife. We now need to fight for our planet I know that some of you are not worriers but we need all the help we can get. We need to divide healers on the left and worriers on the right teacher in the middle please if you have a child with you please leave them with the teachers."

The group move according to their occupation I now calmly move with Idna towards the warriors I looked at my father and he looked at me in the eyes and nodded

I'm a warrior now not a princess any more.
