Slamming my locker shut I looked down at my schedule to check what my first period is.
'Hmmm...US History AP great.' I said with sarcasm.
'Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today' Liam chuckled.
'Haha so funny' I muttered under my breath.
We walked a short amount of distance before we reached our first period.
'Well this is my stop, see ya later alligator' I said.
'In a while crocodile' Liam cheerfully said as he turned away.
Sighing, I walked into the classroom and hurried to find a seat in the back.
Content with the choice I picked I lounged back in the chair as I wanted for the teacher to come back inside.
The bell rang a few seconds later and I resumed back to sitting position leaving an empty seat next to me.
'What a waste of a seat when I could use it for my two legs' I thought wistfully.
Returning my attention on the teacher I noticed she was at the front of the board waiting for everyone's attention to be on her.
'Hello Everyone, Welcome back from summer break, I hope you guys enjoyed it, My name is Ms. Carly and I am your US History Teacher.
'Hello Ms.Carly' we all said back.
She smiled brightly before continuing, 'I am going to call out roll so please bare with me if I say your names wrong.'
'Naomi?'
'Here.'
'Kennedy?'
'Here'
'Ivan?'
'Here'
'James?'
'Here'
'Jordan?'
'Here'
'Isabella?'
'Here,' I even added a cheerful wave to set a lasting impression on my teacher.
She smiled at me before continuing,
'Parker?'
Pause.
'Parker?'
She looked and and surveyed the classroom before calling his name again.
'Parker?'
'Here'
We all turned to hear the source of this voice coming from the doorway of the classroom.
'Sorry I'm late.' He said stopping at the teacher's desk.
'It's ok Parker go ahead and find your seat' she smiled and returned back to calling other people's names.
I watched as he stood and surveyed the class probably choosing where he wanted to sit.
