A mother and father huddled together as the nurse brought them their new child. 

"Good luck, and if you need anything come back here!" The nurse exclaimed.

"Of course thanks," The mother said as she cradled her child.

The man wraps his arm around the woman's shoulders and smiles as they walk in the hot sun. Radiant smiles beam off both of them as the image turns blurry.

- Toddler

We now see a two-year old girl waddling around the house whose feet is always cold from the weather outside. Her large chocolate brown eyes stare longingly at the large computer. She grabs the mouse and clicks on the icon of the Photo Booth application. She then clicks on record and sits there staring at it while she sucks on her pacifier. A tired looking woman then walks in and gently places the girl on the ground while clicking the stop button. The image then fades away.

- Kindergarten

Now we see the girl holding a popsicle on a stick. She takes a bite then winches. "Do you not like the chocolate dipped banana?" Ms. Costello says. The girl twists her face is disgust then says "Chocolate shouldn't go on bananas it's a very not nice combination, ewww!" All the other children laugh while Ms. Costello smiles. The image disappears once again.

-  Grade 3

The girl now sits on the bleachers. Her curly brown hair falls onto her white shirt that says "Nice doesn't win games." She then picks up her book which reads "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." She reads for a bit enjoying the fall breeze around her and the red leaves flying past her. Suddenly, a thin woman with smeared bright pink lipstick and a horrible spray on tan that looks as if she is the color of a dark hardwood floor walks over. 

"Excuse me but I don't think that book is correct for your reading level and age, plus there are some adult topics in that book." The lady says firmly as she straightens her zebra print glasses that match her blazer.

The girl looks up from her book and stares at the lady for a bit then says " I read the first four without any problem, plus I'm already more than halfway through this book."

"Don't get smart with me, that's a week of detention."

"I didn't do anything, Ms. Smilder." The girl says as she starts to walk away but the lady grabs her arm and tells her to go inside. The girl sighs dejectedly then rolls her eyes.

Now for da really long story about a romance in 5th grade!

-   Grade 5

The girl stares at this boy named James. She plays with her name tag which reads Abbie Katie. He has large hazel eyes and strokes his hair whenever he got a question right in class. She smiles and waves at him and he smiles and waves back. He stood up for her when she got yelled at. She would always talk with him before class until January. That one cold day in January she decided to write a note to him says that she likes him. That was the bravest thing she ever did. She hid her face from his as she opened her locker. He opened his locker and opened the note and read it. He smiled and looked happy. She sighed a sigh of relief. The following days he talked with her more and more but Abbie made a new friend. A boy named Brandon who wasn't as hot or sporty as James but was equally cute. Abbie would see Brandon on the weekends and play video games and do homework with him. They would be partners in class and were best friends. Suddenly, a girl named Tenley arrived. She was your typical Regina George with her two friends: Reese and Alexa. Tenley would smile at all the boys and invite them over but Abbie made the mistake of telling her about James to which Tenley said "Don't worry I'll totally help you out."

She allowed the girl to each lunch with her. It would be the girl, Tenley, Alexa, Reese, James and two of James' friends. Suddenly, Tenley asked everyone who they think is the cutest and to ask them out. Abbie stared at her lunchbox in embarrassment. One of James' friends said that they thought Reese was cute then asked her out but she said no. Then, it was James' turn.

Abbie stared at her uneaten food in suspense as the rest of the table watched him in silence. James smiled and said very slowly: "Hey Tenley wanna go out with me?" 

Abbie's eyes grew wide as her heart crushed itself inside her. She bit her lip in anger as her hand began to shake. It was as if Pandora's box had been opened and the feelings erupted but she kept them quiet. A tear escaped her big watery eyes and she sat trembling.

"Sure!" Tenley said with not a care in the world.

Abbie's POV:

I felt a tap under the table and turned to look at Brandon who gave me a tissue. smiled as I wiped it across my face.

"What about you Brandon? Why don't you go?" Tenley said.

Brandon paused as he smoothened his soft black hair and smiled a cute smile that showed his dimples.

Alexa sat and stared at Brandon as if she already knew he was going to choose her and I sighed as I knew the truth.

He turned to me and said "Hey Abbie, do you want to go out with me?"

We all sat in silence as Alexa looked infuriated and Tenley even more angry. James sat back in shock and Reese smirked. 

I raised my eyebrows in shock at the question and looked around the cafeteria but nobody else was looking. I suddenly realized that the perfect guy for me was in front of me the whole time. His caramel skin and his rounded face and smile. 

"Um uh... Yes!" I said with a quirky smile.

We both smiled at each other for far too long before Tenley rolled her eyes. 

"Ugh of course Brandon." Tenley sneers but we both ignore it.

Me and Brandon exchange looks then take our lunches and say "Sorry Tenley but we'll be eating lunch over here."

We move over to where Brandon's friends sit. I become friends with his friend Ryan and us three become inseparable.

We all go in a line, me alongside Brandon and behind Ryan. We parade down the halls as the younger students cheer for us. Over the course of the last five days I've heard people gossiping about me hanging out with all the latino boys. "I can't believe that Abbie is dating a latino boy like ugh." and "She needs to date another person." I usually ignore it though but this is the last day I'll see Brandon. As we parade down I enjoy my last moment with Brandon as he doesn't have a phone. Next year I'll be going to a lottery school and he'll be going to a public school. I talk with Brandon the whole time as we friendly tease Ryan about him asking out Maria who said no. "If you two both kiss right now I'll give you each a quarter." Me and Brandon glanced at each other, blushing. We then shrugged and he kissed my cheek and I kissed his. We awkwardly laughed. "Ugh get a room already." Ryan said as we all burst into laughter. However at the end of the day, I gave Brandon and Ryan a hug before leaving and I exchanged phone numbers with Ryan.
