When Dorian woke, the first thing he saw was John. It reminded him of the day they first met.

"Well good morning, Sleeping Beauty." John said with a small smile when he saw the android open his eyes.

Dorian slowly began to sit up. "John." He said, smiling slightly back at the detective. "You were worried about me." He commented, analyzing John's expression, posture, and tone of voice.

John shook his head. "No way. It is much quieter around here without you. It was so nice." He said with a mock serious tone.

Rudy cleared his throat, rounding the table to join John in Dorian's line of vision. "You should be all fixed up." He said with a bright smile. "And next time, try not to get shot."

Dorian chuckled. "Well, I didn't do it on purpose."

"Actually, you did. You must have lost some of your memory or something. You pushed me out of the way." John said, not meeting Dorian's gaze.

"It's perfectly normal not to remember yet." Rudy interjected. "It'll probably come back to you later, just give it some time." Dorian sighed softly. He didn't like not being able to have access to important information immediately.

John glanced down at his watch. "I have to go home, but I'm sure Rudy will take care of you." He said to Dorian. He gave as much of a warm smile as he could manage, before bidding both men goodnight.
