**Melody Jones**
Tears streamed down my face as I recall the conversation Cassy and I just had, and how I felt pure rejection from her and Adrien.
"Melody you have to tell me what's wrong so I can help you!" Jayden tells me, he's trying to calm me down, but his voice only makes me cry more.
I feel weak, crying in front of someone else. This wasn't how I was raised, I was raised to be strong and never cry in public, but the tears streamed down my face so easily, like a waterfall. He wraps his long arms around me, rocking me in place. He feels so warm I move closer to him.
"Thank god he's here.." My wolf says. Her name is Shadow, and right now she was doing everything she could to not shift in the girls bathroom.
I look up at Jayden and see his eyes flash yellow. He's holding it in too.
"Jay, I'm fine now I promise." I tell him while wiping my eyes.
"You sure?" He asks. I nod my head, if we didn't calm down soon, we'd cause complete chaos.
"You sure you gonna be alright Mel?" He asks again
"Yeah, it was just a little breakdown. I'll be alright." I smile, giving him encouragement. I was glad to have a friend like him.
Taking my hand we stand up and walk out of the bathroom;ignoring the glares from the preppy girls down the hallway. They'll get over it, he's gay anyways. Walking back to class, I try not to look at Cassy or Adrien. I wasn't feeling the need to apologize just yet. Shadow whines as the thought begins to leave my mind.
"What? You like her or something? If you haven't noticed she doesn't really like us so just let it go." I growl. She snaps at me an lays down before falling asleep. I take a quick glance at Cassy sitting next to me and notice her brown hair covering her face. She looked upset, maybe from what happened earlier? The bell rang and I quickly forget the thought of her. I needed to get her out of my mind.
Before I could leave, Cassy and Adrien pass in front of me and I catch her sent flow off of her.
"Freshly fallen snow and cotton candy..." Shadow whispers, she wags her tail in delight"Mine." She says.
"That's weird. She's never done that before.." I quickly forget the thought and dash to second period.

At the end of the day I run behind Jayden and tap his shoulder, then dash behind Kyle Montgomery. He was the quarterback on the football team, and took great pride in his self. He was tall and muscular. His thick, curly black hair was messy from early morning practice, and his deep brown eyes showed everyone that he was a big softie. He looks at me questioningly, but I wink and he grins as he realizes my playful mood.
"Dammit Mel, your a little shit!" I peek behind Kyle and see Jayden with his hands on his hips and pouting. He's so adorable when he pouts.
"You know I hate that." He giggles and that was proof he liked being picked on by me. It just showed I care.
"Aww but it's funny to see you act like a 5-year old." I skip across the hallway and stand with him while he puts away his school supplies.
"H-hey Mel?" He asks, almost too quiet to hear. "Am I....a good person?" He blushes with his question and my jaw drops.
"Of course your a good person! Who the hell said otherwise!? I swear to god if it's--"
"No no no! That's not it! It's just that...I don't think Adrien likes me very much. I mean I've been teasing him all day, and I've seen him blush once or twice, but he always gives me the cold shoulder. I just don't get it..." A red like color fills his cheeks; Jayden was blushing! My eyes widen in the fact that for the first time in the 10 years I've known him he's never blushed over a guy before.
"Jayden, it'll be ok. Just give him time to get used to you. He is a new student y'know?" I didn't know how to help, but I knew I'd be right there beside him the whole way through.
"But I really like him Mel. I've never felt like his before. I don't know what to do-" he was interrupted by someone behind me.
I turn and see Cassy walking down the hallway; but there was no Adrien. She struts pass us and keeps walking down the hallway,"Adrien is always with Cassy! Why was she by herself?" Jayden asks sounding worried.
"I don't know. Maybe they got in a fight?" I wasn't sure if that was the correct answer but it's all I could think of.
"C'mon, we gotta check it out." Jayden grabs my arm and takes off before I can object to his forceful gesture. We sprint down the hallway but stop abruptly when we take a corner and see Cassy at her locker.
"She doesn't seem to notice, get back." He keeps his arm out and we get back around the corner.
"I don't get it. She obviously doesn't care Adrien isn't around. What the hell is going on?" I whisper.
This was all confusing, all day they'd be together and seeing them separate just seemed 'awkward'. I keep looking at her, how she moves, how she shakes her hair out of her face, she was so beautiful.
"Get your fucking hands off of me!" I look to where the yell had come from, and notice Cassy had heard it too.
"Hey Jay, was that-" I started.
"Adrien!" Jayden cried.
Before I could stop him he was off, sprinting down the hallway faster then I'd ever seen him move.
"Wait! Jayden stop!" I yelled.
I ran after him, pushing my legs to move faster. As I turn the corner to the stairwell I see Jayden standing in front of Adrien in a protective stance.
"What the hell?--"
I look top and see Katherine Beans, a fox shifter. "Jayden you stay out of this! This mother-fucker knocked over my books and needs to pick them up!" She yells. She was cunning and rude, truly a fox.
"Why don't you leave Katherine? He hasn't done shit to you and you know it!" Jayden yells again. His eyes were shifting, changing into his leopard eyes.
"Jayden stop! Let's just leave ok?" I plead to him to leave, he may be a leopard but in strength wise; Katherine was much stronger.
Katherine gave him a low growl before shooting daggers at me, then Jayden was even looking at me, and Adrien too!
"Wait, it's not me they're looking at..." I turn around and see Cassandra standing behind me, her eyes were no longer her normal dark brown color, they were a hazel like tone. Her nails were getting sharper, her teeth became more rigid. Her growling had become louder. She was....
"a shifter.." Shadow says.
Oh great, what more could happen?
