I woke to find the forest we were in was still cloaked in blood and bones of the wolf pack we had barely beaten. I noticed that Cassy was next to me and I gently woke her.
"Cassy? Cassy! Wake up." I shook her harder until she began to stir.
"What the hell did I tell you about waking me up so fucking early?" She turned her face to mine.
Her once bright cheeks were covered in dirt, mud, and blood. Her clothes were torn and it looked at if someone had splattered blue, black, and purple paint all over her arms and legs.
"Oh, well this sure isn't my room. What happened Ade? I don't remember a whole lot." She sat up, locking her eyes with mine.
"After you got Melody from her burning house, I came up and told you guys about how Jayden had been abducted by Maria and her pack. After that it's kind of a blur." I looked around to see if I could find Melody and Jayden, but they were nowhere in sight.
"Melody! Melody where are you? Answer me, please!" Cassy began to stand but was having trouble using her left leg. I noticed it was bent in an awkward position.
"Cassy don't stand, your leg it broken. Just sit stil-"
"NO! I WILL NOT SIT STILL!! My mate is in danger and she needs me!" She cried.
Mate. The word rang in my ears as I recalled calling Jayden my mate, and look where he was. Look at how shitty of a mate I am, I couldn't even protect the ones that I cared about the most. And now for all we knew they could've been dead.
"Adrien what do we do?" She wailed. Never before have I seen my little sister act so weak, so frail, so human.
"Look, if their not here that means Maria probably took them, so their still alive. Just calm down and let me fix your leg. After that we'll figure out a plan ok?"
She bites her lip and nods "ok, but what does Maria want with them anyways? I don't understand. We left the pack, what does he want with us?" She asked, tears spilling from her eyes as she readjusts herself for me to examine her leg.
"Apparently he wants us back in his pack, and he's willing to do anything to make sure we join him again. But don't worry, I have a plan."
"Oh? And what plan is that?" She asked.
"We join him-"
"WHAT!?"
"Hey you didn't let me finish, shut up for a second. I'm saying we join him until we find out what they did with Melody and Jayden. If their not here it means they have them, this is our best bet on getting them back alive."
She looked at the ground, at first it seemed like she was pouting, but then she slowly rose her head and nodded in agreement.
"Alright, so it's settled." I said. Carefully picking her up, I helped her through the clearing. Allowing myself to shift once more, I carefully trotted home.
"Jayden, stay safe. We're coming for you."

The smell of burnt hair and blood tingled my nose. It was an awful, wretched smell.
"Where am I?" My head was throbbing in pain.
The feel of the cold concrete was the only support I had to slowly raise my head of the ground. I was in a cell block, bars were in front of me but everything else was solid concrete. There was no bed, no sink, and no toilet. Not even a blanket for warmth. I got to my knees and looked through the bars, all around me there were other cell blocks, a good 30 on each side of me, and about 50 more towards the ceiling. I looked across the medium sized pathway in between the cells and noticed another figure lying on the ground.
