The Fallen (book 1)

Chapter 13

                                                                                        Aaron 

After thinking of the plan and taking a nap. I get up and head to the kitchen to get something to eat.

"Spells will make you tired and hungry because they take most of your energy.", Luke said before we started. "So if you get tired just tell me and we'll rest and then get a snack," he said.  

And I don't take it seriously and in the middle of the spell my head started to hurt and my eyelids felt heavy. I start to focus and get the spell done.

After fixing a sandwich I try to find some chip and instead find some leftover french fries and heat them up.

"Hope these still taste good."

I take the fries out of the microwave and pop one into my mouth.

"Good, but needs a little salt and some ketchup."

I put some salt on them and ketchup. I head to the couch and turn the tv on and check the news for any signs of the guy that's following us. And I also check online but it says the same thing.

"Feel better.", Luke says.

"I'm fine the spell wasn't that hard."

"You don't have to lie, I know the signs."

I try not to argue but sometimes I know to keep my mouth shut.

Luke walks out of the room and I go back to what I was doing before. Trying to help Jay.

I wake up to rain and the sound of thunder. 

I turn over and Aaron is next to me watching the news. I look out the window and it's cloudy and the rain is hitting so hard that it sounds like bullets hitting the cabin. 

"Sounds like World War 1 all over again.", Luke says from inside the kitchen.

"Maybe this time he won't try to kill us.", Aaron says.

"Rain won't stop him from killing his enemies."

"True."

"Let's get ready in case he does come unexpectedly."

"He really pisses me off."

"We need to figure out why you are passing out all the time.", Luke says.

"I feel fine right now."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean you won't in any other time.", Aaron says.

"We need to find a spell or something.", Aaron says eager to help.

"You have to rest, just like you said to Jay, just because you feel fine now doesn't mean you will later."

I start to feel weird, not like I'm going to pass out feeling, but that feeling people have in those movies when a boy feels something for a girl. Like when you get a puppy or some sort of baby animal, or when you're watching a movie and that happy moment happens like when two people kiss or just something happy.
