Yo's Point Of View
I woke up, my head pounding. I looked around and saw everyone around me. I sat up and noticed that I was in a hospital. Then I remembered what happened.
"Mother, I would like to tell you something." I said.
    "Yes?" She asked, on her phone.
    "I-I'm getting married." I told her.
    She looked up from her phone, excitedly. She looked so happy.
    "When can I meet my daughter in law!?" She asked.
    "Well, not daughter in law." I told her.
    "What do you mean?" She asked.
    "They live here, with me." I told her. "P'Pha!"
    Pha came out of our shared room, and walked into the living room. He greeted my mother.
    "Pha, who is Yo getting married too?" She asked him, comfortably since she's known him for a while.
    I stood beside Pha and he wrapped his arms around me. 
    "We're getting married." I said, extremely scared of her reaction.
    She stared at me. My palms started to sweat and I became extremely hot. Pha put his hand around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
    "It'll be alright." He told me, noticing that I was nervous.
    "This is a joke right?" She asked us.
    She started laughing.
    "Mom, I really do love him. We are getting married." I told her.
    "You must be going to America than." She said, not being serious.
    "That's he plan." Pha said.
    I hadn't even thought about the legal prospectives of our marriage. I didn't know that we were going to America to get married. I didn't know anything basically since we hadn't talked about it yet.
    "Yo, if you go along with this, you will no longer be welcome in your father and I's home. You will no longer be our son. Make a choice, and make the right one." She said and walked out of the front door.
"Pha." I said and cried into his arms.
He rubbed my hair and told me that we'd figure it out, comforting me. But then suddenly I felt lightheaded and everything went black.
Ming noticed that I woke up. He was sitting to my left, Pha was sitting to my right, and everyone else stood around at the foot of the bed.
"How do you feel?" The doctor came in and said.
"My head hurts." I told him.
He nodded.
"You fainted from the lack of fluids in your body. In other words, you were dehydrated." He told me. "We have an IV placed in your arms that is putting water into your system. When that bag is empty, you may take your leave." He told us and walked out of the room.
I laid back down. I looked over at Ming.
    "I need to talk to you." I told him.
    "Would you like us to leave?" Kit asked.
    I nodded and everyone walked out except Pha and Ming. I didn't want Pha to hear what I was about to say, so I asked if he could leave too. He nodded and left.
    "Ming, I don't think I can marry Pha." I told him.
    "Why not?" He asked, shocked. "You've loved him for so long."
    "My mother, she said that I wouldn't be welcome in her home." I told him.
    He leaned over to me and gave me a hug.
    "Wow, I never expected your mother to say that." Ming said.
    "She said that she'd disown me. She told me that I had to pick her or the love of my life. I can't do such a thing." I told Ming, tears falling down my face.
    "Who makes you happier?" Ming asked.
    The first thing that popped up in my head was how happy I was when Pha proposed.
    "Pha, right?" He asked.
    "But she's my mother." I told him.
    "Before she understands, you need to understand; you wouldn't be choosing who you love more, you'd be choosing happiness." He said, giving good advice like always.
    He hugged me again and wiped my tears.
    "Maybe she'll come around and accept it." He told me.
    "Ming, I also don't know anything about the wedding." I told him.
    He made a face of confusion.
    "I just found out that we're going to America to get married. I don't know how we will have the money to do so." I told him.
    "This should be your last worry. Listen, you're getting married. Stop complaining and be happy!" Ming said and flicked me in the forehead lightly.
    We laughed and Ming walked out to get them.
