"It's 56 to 36 with Brindlebrook in the lead. Only five seconds left on the clock. Jenson throws it to Smith. Smith runs to the end zone AND HE SCORES WITH ONE SECOND LEFT. What a great season for the Clowns so far." the announcer says and continues to ramble on about the team.
"Well that was a good game. I loved how Noah got tackled to the ground." says Copper.
"I wish that guy would have broken Noah's neck." sighs Fox while looking away to hide her tears.
"Hey, it'll be okay. That dick doesn't deserve a beautiful, sweet girl like you. You will find someone who appreciates you for you." Jason's says while rubbing Fox's back.
"Thanks Jason. I'll forget about that asshole. Friends are all you need life." Fox says happily.
"Come on guys! We need to go home and get some rest for tomorrow. We still have to go shopping for homecoming then get ready." says Copper.
The three friends start walking towards the gates with the rest of the crowd. A lot of people from their school stare at Fox. Fox looks down embarrassed. Everyone knows that she has been dumped by the hottest and most popular guy in school. Jason and Copper notice all the staring and they wrap their arms around Fox's waist until they reach the gate. When they cross the street to the gas station they run into Noah's parents. They give Fox a dirty look and call her a cheater. "I did not cheat! He is lying to you." Fox screams at Mr and Mrs. Smith.
Mr and Mrs. Smith look at Fox with despair. Copper, Jason, and Fox walk away from the two and go to Jason's house. When they arrive. Copper and Jason stop Fox before entering. "Why did they accuse of cheating on Noah?" Copper and Jason say simultaneously.
"They have never liked me. When we started dating they instantly hated me. I don't know why. They probably think I cheated and that is why we broke up." Fox clenches her fists and looks away.
"Well fuck them. You are amazing. I bet they want him to worry about sports and school when in reality he can worry about you, sports, and school at the same time." Jason huffs.
"Oh well. Lets just get inside and go to bed. I'm dead tired." Copper yawns.
Copper, Jason, and Fox walk inside and go upstairs. Jason heads to his room and Copper and Fox head to the guest bedroom. They say goodnight to each other and close the door behind them.
In the middle of the night, Jason wakes up screaming. Sweat dripping from the top of his head down to his toes. Copper and Fox bust into his room. "What the hell is going on?" Fox says worriedly.
"I just had a nightmare. A clown was chasing me and it tried to kill me. I woke up when it caught me and pinned me to the ground." Jason says with tears in his eyes.
Copper sits on the bed beside Jason and rubs his back. "It's okay buddy. It was just a nightmare. It is not going to happen. You are just freaked out from the killer clowns running around Brindlebrook."
"I hope so. Will you guys stay in here for the rest of the night?" Jason says sadly.
Copper and Fox both nod their heads. Fox goes and lays down on the end of the bed. The three of them slowly fall asleep while talking about the Homecoming dance that is coming up in less than 24 hours.
