chapter 19

Shawn's pov:

*at resteraunt*

I pulled out a chair for ana. she sat and put her bag on the corner of her chair. I then sat down and smiled at ana.

"what are you smiling for?" she asked me, herself smiling.

"you're cute." I said, just telling the truth.

"so are you, what are you gonna eat?"

"umm. tbh I don't know. what about you babe?"

"I'm not that hungry, but I'm just gonna get a salad."

"okay, I'll get a burger."I said totally casual.

"how healthy, shawn." ana said sarcastically, raising one eyebrow.

"whatt? it's the weekend. let me live my life mom." I said, grabbing her hands across the table.

she just rolled her eyes.

"gosh, it seems like it's been forever shawn."

"what?"

"it seems like we've been dating for ever."

"why do you think that?" I asked her, while taking off my sweatshirt.

"idk, it just. idk! i just.."

"you just what.." I said, confused.

"i love you, shawn." she said putting her hands on her face.

"you think I dont love you? the minute I laid eyes on you, I know I wanted you. ana, you are the most beautiful, genuinely sweet girl I know, you're funny, silly, cute. why wouldn't someone love you?"

"but do you love me? like as your girlfriend.?"

"listen, I know this is super early to say this, but we really connected. there was a spark. I do love you."

she simply smiled and got out of her chair and walked over to me. ana sat on my lap sideways and looked at me.

she smiled and I put my hand on the small of her back, and my other on her cheek. I pulled her close to me and kissed her. more passionately then ever.

we unlocked the kiss, both blushing. we both looked at eachother speechless.

I began to speed but she stopped me.

"I-" I began, she put her finger on my mouth and whispered in my ear,

"I love you too."

I smiled and looked down. she got off my lap and sat back in her seat.

the waiter came over and served us our food. after we ate, we drove to the movie theatre. everyone was there already. we walked in, fingers intertwined, hand in hand. we walked towards everyone while cam pointed and everyone smiled. everyone said hello and I went to buy our tickets. while i was in line I felt someone's cold, hands come around my waist. I thought it was ana and I turned around.

"hey cutie."

my ex? Lauren? no.. I pushed her away and said

"uh.. hi"

"I missed you, baby."

"don't call me that Lauren." I said angry.

I looked over at the group and signaled aaron over here. he walked over, not realizing Lauren was right in front of me.

"woah. nope. nuh uh. get out." aaron said to Lauren.

"oh grow up." Lauren snapped rolling her eyes.

I looked back at the group again looking for ana. our eyes met and I got lost in her beautiful blue-

"who the hell is this?" she asked, pushing me away from Lauren.

"my ex. ana, meet Lauren."

"listen no hard feelings, sweetie but shawn was mine, and always has been." Lauren said smirking.

"oh hell no..." she murmured charging towards Lauren.

"woah, woah woah. I grabbed ana and carried her over back to my side. I held her hand, letting her know shes always gonna be mine.

"you need to leave," she said pushing back her hair, "or this ain't gonna be pretty."

"whatever. call me shawn." Lauren said walking away.

"I won't!" I called out, rolling my eyes.

"what the hell is wrong with her?" I asked aaron.

"dude i don't know but I hate that chick. she was always crazy." aaron replied.

"clearly." ana said, rubbing my back.

I kissed her cheek and whispered in her ear,

"you'll always be mine, you don't have to worry."

she smiled and kissed me.
