"but-but why do you have me?" I asked
It's pretty surprising that this past year I've been hanging out with Vontez and all this time he was the brother to the boy my dad raped. What I don't understand is why I was kidnapped, if this is payback for my dad I doubt he gives a shit about me and won't be paying them ransom to release us.
"It was my dad not me, and he sure as hell isn't gonna pay you any ransom money"
"it's not about the money, and this is not about your dad, not directly anyways. it's about my brother" She said
"and who would that be?"
She pointed at Vontez which meant that he was her brother. and if he was her brother then that meant Davonte was also her brother.
"you see after the whole trial we thought our brother would be fine. not perfectly fine considering what had happened but we never expected to come home one day to see his body hanging from the ceiling. our brother committed suicide because of what your father did, he couldn't bear the pain anymore so he decided that was his best option" She explained
"okay so I'm sorry for your loss, but once again what does that have to do with me?"
"you're right, it doesn't. it would be more rational to take your dad but he's already done his time. Davonte didn't ask to get raped, just like you didn't ask for this to happen which is exactly why this is going to happen"
I'm fucking confused as shit. If my dad did you wrong you go after me, knowing my dad will be unaffected by this? This stupid bitch.
"and so why is he here?" I asked referring to Markus
"there's a rumor going around that he killed my brother, so I want him to suffer just like you"
"bitch you just said he killed himself, now you're saying Markus killed him. get your story straight, matter of fact get your life straight" I said while rolling my eyes
"not Davonte idiot. he killed Drew"
Drew. Another name I hadn't heard in a while and was hoping I would never have to. It seems like everything is always connected to Markus and Drew. Only this time Markus wasn't the one that killed him...I did.
"Kenny never mentioned you being his sister. how come he doesn't know Vontez if you guys are brothers?"
"they're not. after my parents were killed we were all separated. I was adopted by Davonte's family. They took me in and that's why I am doing this on his behalf"
"but Markus didn't—"
"your brother deserved it, I...enjoyed putting a bullet in his brain" Markus said cutting me off
