"Hey, Chace!" A familiar voice greeted me in the hallway. It was Cloud.
"Hey, Cloud..." To her, i'm a bashful person.
It was already the start of second semester and with my help, Cloud seemed to adjust well...very well. She easily made new friends, and I warned her about some people, the fake ones. Just so you know we are at the back of the school 'cause this is our "kinda-secret-hiding-place". It's actually my plan to keep Cloud as a secret, not because I don't want to ruin my image or because i'm selfish...but because I was afraid someone's gonna hurt Cloud or that she'll change for the worst, like all the other girls here. And being the so-called-king-of-the-school, I have a lot of fake and unreal friends and I don't want Cloud to have some fake and unreal friends. In fact, I don't even know if some of my best buds are really there for me.
Second month of the first semester I told her my plan, good thing she understands and she told me she wasn't offended. She knows me, she understands me, Cloud is a true friend.
"I was looking all over for you!!" She exclaimed
"I thought you had practice..."
"Well, yeah, now you found me!" I tried to sound sarcastic. I saw her rolled her eyes.
"After school, can we get ice cream instead of coffee?" Her expression was poker face.
"Sure..yeah, I love it. It is kinda hot anyways." I never questioned her choices.

After school was finished for the day, I waited for her in our usual spot - at the back of our school with a really big Acacia tree. I waited for about 20 minutes, but she didn't show up. I was starting to get impatient and worried. I got my phone, my palms felt sweaty.
"Hello, Cloud?" I shrieked.
"Oh, hey, Chace. What's up?" She really sounded really weak and tired. So I replied sarcastically so that I could make her smile even if I couldn't see her.
"Uhm... up me?" I looked above me and I had the biggest smile ever.
"It's you!" I exclaimed.
"Huh? What are you talking about, Chace?" She questioned and I could feel and imagine her smiling now.
"Well, You told me *What's up?* so I told you *YOU*... 'cause above me is a cloud..."
I heard her laugh.... just weakly though.
"You're so stupid, Chace. hahaha."
It became silent for 10 seconds. So...
"Cloud..."
"Yeah?"
"We were supposed to meet at our spot, but judging from your pallid laugh... I guess you're not feeling fine."
She growled and replied, "What? No, it's just a little fever, actually. I'll be fine tomorrow. I'm really, really sorry Chace."
"Oh," I bewildered.
"Remember, you're not very good at lying, Cloud. You're just lucky I couldn't see you and I can just hear you..."
She gave a giggle which I know was forced.
"Alright. Goodbye, Cloud. Get well now!"
"Bye..."
I put my phone back to my pocket, looked above me and smiled. Clouds make me me happy and she is the reason for it. Cloud makes me smile. My Cloud.
