" HiIIIII! OMG! IT'S YOU! THE LIZA KOSHY!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!" is what I would have said if I hadn't had the heads-up that Liza Koshy was coming to adopt today. She is my favorite YouTuber of all time!!
" Hi!" is what I really said. I took my time, rehearsing that line. I had to adjust the brightness of my smile, the loudness of my voice, and the enthusiasm on my face. I know that's kind of overreacting, but anything else would have come out like " HEY! I'M AURELIE! NICE TO MEET YOU!" with a creepy grin or "OH, IT IS THOU. I KISS YOU FEET NOW, YES??" So I think it is safe to say that I did a pretty good job.
"Hey! As you all probably already know, I am here to adopt one of you lucky little brown girls." she says with her famous Liza Koshy grin.
"What age group do you have in mind?" asks Mrs Rose, one of the matrons here.
"I am looking for a girl that won't be too much to handle, but at the same time, I want to be able to see my little girl grow up," she says while wiping fake tears from her face, " So I was kinda thinking from ages 8-12." she says with a straight face. Kind-of unusual for a person who was just 'crying' some seconds ago, but nothing is unusual when it comes to Liza!
" Alright then. Everybody less than 8 and over twelve should go back to their rooms. You'll have a shot next time!" Mrs Rose says, trying to cheer-up the unfortunate ones. But at least I have a chance!
"Ok Ms Koshy, you can talk to them now. When you find one you want, just let me know. I will get you the papers to sign and then you can go home with your new daughter!" says Mrs Rose
"My name Jet." states Liza and I burst out laughing. Am I seriously the only one who gets this?? When she hears me laughing, she turns her head in my direction an makes eye contact with me. "You." she points at me, " Would you like to come home with me?"
You're kidding, right??? " M-Me?" I stutter. Hey, hey, hey. Don't even blame me right now! You wouldn't believe it too if your favorite celebrity walks into the orphanage you live in and chooses to adopt you! " Yes, you. I really like you. The moment I walked into this orphanage, I knew you were the one, but I decided that I would at least talk to other girls but then when you laughed and my "my name Jet" thingy, I was sure you were the one. So, do you want to come home with me?" Cue the angels singing. " Yes! Yes! Yes! You are my favorite YouTuber of all time and it's been my dream to get to meet you ever since I watched your first video a-and now I get to live with you!" I say while jumping up and down, fangirling.
"Ok then! I'm so happy! I'll go tell Mrs Rose that I've made my choice and then you'll be able to come home with me." she says while walking off to find Mrs Rose. "Wait. Before I go, what is your name?" "Aurelie." I say with a slight giggle. While she goes to find Mrs Rose, I make my way up to my room to tell Taylor the news and pack my stuff. Taylor couldn't stay downstairs because she is 13. Oh well.
I walk into the room and see Taylor laying on her bed, playing with her phone. I just realize now, how hard it will be telling Taylor that I am leaving. She stayed up to comfort me when I cried at night when I was new here, she made sure Mandy and her gang of bullies didn't touch me when I was new here, and now, I am leaving. How am I going to tell her?
I'll just straight up tell her. Yes, that's what I'll do.
