Nina watched from the window, as her older brother and sister chased after each other in the front of the yard. Their mother and father laying on the front porch watching. All of them were in their wolf form, while Nina has yet to shift. She closed the curtain, stepping back from the window, and turned to the dishes in the sink. She slowly grabbed a plate, and rinsed it off, before putting it into the dish washer, she continued until the sink was clear. Thank Goodness for the dish washer!  she thought to herself, as she sat on the couch fur sticking to her. "Seriously?! Why can't y'all be human and sit here. I'm tired of cleaning fur!"  She yelled, standing to her feet, she started up the stairs towards her room and plopped down on her bed. She didn't bother with the door, since there'd be no point. Her wolf sister loves to run into the door, and claw until its open, so there was simply no use.

Nina sat in her bed, the lamp on her bedside table brightening the room, as she read from a dusty book.  She scanned the pages quickly, before setting the book down and standing up. She rushed down the stairs with a smile as she looked at her family, now in their human form. "What's for dinner?" She asked, taking a seat by her brother who made a goofy face.  "Wouldn't you like to know?" he growled playfully, their sister quickly tackling the both of them. "Mother, Father? When will I shift?" Nina asked, once she was free of the two siblings who battled on the floor. "Once you're an adult. Possibly, or you'll be simply human." Her mother said, standing from the couch. Her father stood, and followed her mom into the kitchen.

Pots and pans echoed through the house, as well as growls and barks from Nina's brother and sister. Nina stepped out from the house, the cool night air hitting her skin making her shiver.  She stepped off the porch, and headed towards the wall. She wondered, what was beyond the wall?  as she stopped near the barn horses called out to her in greeting, but she ignored them.  She looked at the wall, before turning to a sound  to see her father.

"Nina, go to the house. You know you're not allowed to be here, you've gone too close." She looked down, and nodded. Yes, she knew the rules but she wanted to see pass the walls! What could be out there?! "Father, when will I be able to leave and go out into the world? I don't have any friends, I only have you and Mom, along with Angelica, and Dante." Her father stopped walking, before sighing. "Nina you will be able to go out into the world when you either shift, or become an adult. Tomorrow your mother and I are taking Angelica and Dante outside of the walls, to meet other packs. You may not go because you will not be able to protect yourself. These are werewolves, don't even try to argue. You can't even beat your brother. On your birthday we'll take you to meet our pack. Who live inside of the walls, so it'll be safer."

"What will I learn tomorrow?" Nina asked her mother as she settled down into her bed. "Since I'll be gone, I trust you to do your work. Tomorrow you start on werewolf culture, and other werewolf things, since you have already finished all the work humans normally do. I'm proud of you." Her mother smiled, kissing her forehead before leaving. "Light on or off?" She asked as she got to the door. "Off please." Once her mother left, Nina got up and looked out the window. She smiled at the moon, and then walked over to her fluffy bed and fell onto it.  When will I shift?

Nina's POV (Point Of View) Now.

Birds chirped outside of the house, little sun rays shining in through the window. I blinked my eyes a few times with a yawn. I sat up and stretched, looking around my room. The walls were a shade of grey, matching with my bed. Next to my bed was a bedside table, that was a beautiful dark wood, with a lamp and black alarm clock on top. My pillows were a shade of blue, as well as my curtains. My closet was next to a door, that led to a bathroom. The bathroom was a light blue, with a white and greenish carpet. There was a wolf howling to the moon painting above my bed, and below my bed was a soft fluffy black and red carpet. By the window was a dark wooden desk, with a desktop on top, along with sheets of paper and notebooks. I stood up from my bed, checking the time on my phone as I walked towards the bathroom. It's only eight am? I thought to myself, picking up a tooth brush and setting my phone down. I looked at my reflection, blinking. My hair was a red like color, my eyes a bright emerald green with some yellow in it. I got dressed quickly, and sat at my desk picking up a book and paper that said 'Werewolf'.

Werewolves are supernatural beings, they look human, but can shift into a wolf. Some say they can speak to their wolf, in their mind. Some even say they  can half shift, where only their tail and ears show, and maybe their K-9's and wolf like claws. They live in packs like normal wolves would, and train. They also have a God, called the 'Moon Goddess.' In some fairy tales, or folk stories werewolves look completely different, or only shift on full moons, but it is false.  Werewolves also have a thing called 'Mates.' A Mate is like a soul mate, they're pretty much just made for you. It is rare for a rejection to happen but it can occur. There is a such thing as a Second Chance Mate, but those are extremely rare. They have many mates, but once they meet one, the others become regular wolves, and are no longer a chance of being a mate, but this isn't true, some say. I believe it isn't true because you only have one soul mate, and they're made just for you. So if they're made just for you, then how can you have any more, that has other mates. Because no two are alike.

Now, let's get into Chosen Mates. A 'Chosen Mate' is a mate who is chosen. If they accept it, then they can become mates, but once one finds their mate a lot of heart break will happen. It is said that if a mate is rejected they'll maybe die. Every Mate's wolf is connected, which creates a 'Mate Bond'  a bond that makes the mates get closer, it pushes them. Of course the wolf part of the two love each other to death, but the humans may not. But the humans will most likely fall for each other in no time.  Packs have a thing called, Mind link. A mind link is where they can talk to each other via wolf and mind. Once mates mark each other (Mate, y'know what I mean, and Mark as in bite their neck to show that, that person is theirs.) they can mind link. A mind link can be  in wolf and human form.

Now, Ranks.

Alpha- Leader , the one who rules the pack.

Beta- Co-Leader , the one who helps lead the pack, and when the Alpha is gone the Beta is in charge.

Luna- Female Alpha. She takes care of things inside the pack, while the Alpha takes care of things with other packs, to make sure there is no war. While the Luna keeps the pack calm, and pack like. The Luna and Alpha are the most important, while Beta below them.

Above the two ranks are, the Elders. Elders make up rules and laws, and help make decisions with the Leaders, and are the most respected, they're like a council.

Pack Doctor- Well, a doctor within the pack.

Runt- Smallest and lowest rank. Mostly a small werewolf. They used to be abused but now it is illegal and punishable in every pack.

Omega- Lowest rank above Runt. They mostly clean and cook with the pack, and learn simple battle moves.

Enforcer- They are werewolves who take care of battles, training, and issues in the pack such as fights.

Tracker- They pretty much hunt/track loners or rouges. (Wolves who are no longer in packs, rouges are aggressive while Loners are not. Loners may just be looking for their mate.)

Delta- Messenger for the Alpha, and any high ranks. Or when both Alpha and Beta leave, they're like a third in command.
