Nina's POV

I read the book over again, sighing. I looked at the homework. Great.

Worksheet: What is the Alpha? The Alpha is the leader of the pack.

What is a mate? A Mate is a soul mate, the one who is made for you.

What is the werewolf God's name? The werewolves have a goddess, named Moon Goddess.

What Rank would you want to be in a pack? I'd want to be an enforcer, because an Omega is too cheap, and Alpha's and Luna's are  probably stuck up. And Enforcers fight.

Once I finished my homework, I stood up and stretched. I peeked out of my window to see my family's car pull up. They're home.  I ran down the stairs, opening the front door. "Hi! I finished my homework! Can we go to the pack now?!"

I smiled happily in the back seat. Mom had agreed while Dad had not. But she used the mate bond to win him over. We were on our way to the 'pack house' where our pack members were to meet us. They do have their own homes, but the pack house is where they can stay, and other things.  We pulled up into a long narrow drive way. A mansion ahead of us. I unbuckled my seatbelt, and jumped out of the car once we rolled to a stop. "Nina, stay by your father or brother." My mother warned, as they approached the door. "Jacob, Emily! How nice to see you. Oh and Angelica and Dante! Aw is this little Nina?! She's so grown!" a woman squealed next to a tall man. He seemed to have a lot of power running off of him. "Alpha Kyle, Luna Maya. How lovely to see you here, any news on Ein?"

I looked at my mom, wondering who Ein was and why they'd want news about this person. The Luna, Maya, seemed saddened,  she rubbed her stomach which was big since she is pregnant or so I think. "Let's not talk about him in front of the baby, shall we?" Maya sadly. Mom and Maya walked off talking about the pack, and family, while Angelica and Dante ran off to meet some of their friends. I looked at Dad, and Kyle. Staying close to them. "Ein's still missing, poor Maya can't handle it. I've got the best trackers on it, and my beta. Jacob, you can't tell the girls, but I think he's dead." My dad looked at me, then back to Kyle. "Nina won't tell, don't worry. She's extremely trustworthy. Trust me, I know." He winked, making me grin.

One time he ate mom's cake, and blamed it on Dante, after Mom had sobbed. He told me not to tell, because I watched him. Later on he felt bad and told her he did it. "Let's take this to my office, I don't want anyone else to hear," Kyle said, making my father and I nod. We followed him up to his office, sitting at the desk. "So why does Nina have to be here?"

"She hasn't shifted yet, and I want to make sure she's safe, I don't trust Dante much either," Dad said looking at me. "Alright, There is news about Ein, but I can't tell Maya. He's murdered about five hundred wolves. Packs call him Devil. I'd feel bad for his mate."

Later That Day..

Nina walked through the tall grass towards the stone wall. She spotted a few cracks here and there, but it mostly was still the same, no ways in or out. She could slightly hear the crunching of leaves on the other side of the wall, making her heart skip a beat. She heard the howls of her family, making her turn sharply towards the house and run as fast as she could. The sound had scared her. Wolves were on the other side of that wall, and it didn't sound like the nice kind. "Ein is at the wall! Alpha Kyle wants every enforcement out there. Including Enforcers who are retired, or training. We have to go!" I heard dad yell, Dante and Mom shoot up and out the door as I approached. Dad looked at me nodding. I knew he meant for me to get to my hideout. I hid in the hideout, snarls heard from outside. Alpha Kyle was near by, because Luna Maya joined me in my hideout. He couldn't risk her alone and not near someone he trusted. I had earned trust. "Luna, hide in the corner over there, if anyone comes here you'll never be found. Trust me, hide and seek proved that," I smiled. She smiled back and nodded. Something pulled me to go outside and find something or someone, but I stayed put. "Oh my moon goddess!" I heard Maya gasp, then she whispered, "He's here."

I wanted to ask who, but it was answered as a dark brownish wolf growled at me. Suddenly a memory came to mind.

"Ein! Where are you?" I shouted, my eyes darting everywhere. Later on a dark bnrownish wolf that was just a pup jumped on me and let out a warning howl. My eyes widened as I knew what that meant. Outsiders were near. They had broke through the wall. Ein licked my face before pushing me behind him, my father jumped in front of us as a outsider pushed through the trees snarling. Ein looked at me, his eyes turning into a amber color as he turned to the beast who nearly bit my arm. My dad had been injured and couldn't get up. He was dying. Ein charged at the wolf who was about to attack me, tears streamed down my face, as I whimpered. Ein killed the wolf, before he ran to me and licked my tears away. I pet his fur, hugging him close. He was my friend, and my only friend. He was always there for me.

Ein had attacked many outsiders as we made our way to shelter, and then. One took him away, I had lost my friend.    "Ein?" I whispered, looking at the wolf in front of me.
