❝A SERIES OF BEAUTIFUL THINGS.❞

MANY LIKE TO believed that the world is ridden with horrible things that overthrow the little good in life. I, on the other hand, find that there are a lot of beautiful things in life that can be taken for granted. I like to write down the good things I find to be gorgeous. It was something but mother did often before her passing, but she rarely ever spoke of it.

I found her journals of beautiful things while we were going through her things. She had been doing them since she was my age, and the first thing on her list was her favorite book, Peter Pan. She spent ages writing about what it had meant to her and that she'd love to meet someone like the boy who never grew up. By the sixth book, she was pregnant with me. She wrote that #3456 was hearing about her carrying me and that #3523 was finally delivering me. I smiled through the tears as I read about just how much my mother had loved me.

A few months later, I had stumbled across my mother's journal once more after a particularly bad day at school. While the world was gray to me, the words my mother wrote made it seem like there weren't just gray clouds outside, but also a glorious sun hidden behind them. And I realized then her reasoning behind her words.
