Chapter 2: Temper Tantrum

"Wow, brat that was quite the temper tantrum." I turn around to see Corporal Levi standing behind me with his arms folded and a sly smirk on his face. "oh, Corporal I'm sorry I didn't know you were there." I said wiping my tears with the back of my hand and straightening out my uniform. I noticed his smirk, I did not like it one bit. So, being the girl I am I challenged him. I sniffled before saying " I don't think I was having a temper tantrum, thank you very much." I looked at him with a small smirk of my own starting to pull at my lips. He noticed this and his smirk grew, he knew exactly what I was doing. Levi chuckled before saying " Oh really I did believe that I had a strong independent soldier that I recruited to be on my team but apparently all I did was sign up to baby sit a teenage girl. Well I hate to break it to you but this is the Survey Corpse, not a babysitting service and not to be harsh," Corporal said sarcastically " but you lost your sister so what? I've lost important people in my life too. What did I do? I. Moved. On. The only thing you can do now is train and defeat titans so that you can make absolutely certain that their deaths were not in vain." He said coldly. " Now, can I stop giving you a teen girl pep talk and get back to training because you have not had one single day of training and titans can break down that wall whenever the hell they would like so I would like if you were prepared for that." He said in a more stern tone. " y-yes sir" I responded at his sudden change in attitude. We began to walk back to the training grounds silently. "I am not a teenage girl." I muttered under my breath.  He just smirked in response. Once we got back to the training grounds He said with a hint of sarcasm, "You will spar with me, if you win I will take back everything I said about you being a teenage girl." He smirked. "Well get ready to apologize." I said getting into my fighting stance. "Oh as you can tell I am absolutely terrified." Levi replied smugly with every hint of sarcasm. He too got into his fighting stance and he then threw a swift punch and I doged it. I kicked up, aiming for his chest and he caught my leg. He twisted it and I fell flat on my face. "Yes cadet, make completely unorganized attacks with no stealth what so ever," Levi said sarcastically. "Your speed is horrible and your attacks are completely unorganized and predictable." Captain scolded. " Your attacks may have been good on the streets but you're in the military now so that's not going to cut it.'' He continued. " I'm sorry sir I'll get better." I said shyly "Damn right you will. Be here by 7 am tomorrow. Dismissed. " I soluted and walked into back to my room, thoughts clouding my brain Here I am in the walls thinking I have the best combat skills in the world but Levi took me down without a second thought. I sat on my bed and looked at the pictures I brought of my family and of my sister... she was always so happy and optimistic, it didn't matter what the situation was... and I couldn't save her. I shook those thoughts out of my head and changed out of my uniform into some shorts and a t shirt. I never really cared about impressing anybody since I always knew that no guy wants to date a poor girl. I sat on my bed and thought about what my life had become and what I was doing just so my family could eat. I didn't realize how quick time when by until I heard a knock at my door. I figured it was just another cadet so I didn't think about it. The door open to reveal my corporal. He quickly looked me up and down. Was that a smirk on his face? "Oi, brat are you coming to eat?" Levi asked emotionless. "Oh, no sir thank you I'm not hungry." I said trying to hide myself behind the door. " You know you have been here for a few days and I haven't seen you eat a single thing." He said coldly. "No captain I have eaten..." I trailed off. "Superior's orders come eat." Levi said walking away and motioning for me to be behind him. He walked into the line of cadets waiting to get food. As a superior, he walked around the line directly in front of all the other cadets. I did receive  a glare from and brown haired boy with a key around his neck. Levi got his food and went and sat at a empty table and told me to get food and sit with him. " So what can I get for ya." the chef said. I looked at Levi and noticed he wasn't looking at me. "Oh nothing thanks." I said and smiled softly. I went and sat next to Levi hoping he wouldn't be too mad. He slowly looked up and noticed I had no food. Levi 'tch'ed loudly and sighed. " listen brat, I'm not going to be that person that forced you to eat and takes care of you, if you haven't noticed i'm not that kind of guy. So either get food then come sit or get out of my sight." he said, getting more irritated by the second. I figured even if I did go get food he would probably get mad so I decided to go to my room. I sat down on my cot and thought, Its so weird one minute hes joking around with me and the next hes yelling and barking orders, its strange. There's something mysterious about the captain, and I kind of like it
