"Amy, Amy get up its reaping day" Says my mother. I slowly peel open my eyes to see my mother and Martha standing over me. Martha looks scared out of her mind. While my mother looks brave or at least trying to. Personally I think she's just doing it to scare Martha less.
" I put so water on the stove for you my Mom says before walking to my dad. I quickly jumbed into the bathtub and washed myself. When I got out i found a pale yellow dress on my bed. I slipped on my flats and found my parents in the kitchen. At 12 o'clock we all headed to town square. We where almost the last family to arrive. We toke our places and prayed that we wouldn't be picked.
Almost halve an hour later our escourt Ellie Greader came on stage. Like every year she says that a special clip all the way from the capitail just for us is here. Then she moves on the pick the names. As here long slim hand reaches into the bowl my heart starts the beat harder. I wonder id Martha could hear since shes right next to me. Next thing I know Ellie has picked out a name.
