Hi everyone!! I'm so so sorry I haven't updated! Here's chapter 5! I hope you like it. :)

Chapter 5~

One year ago....

Today is February, 3th. Sixteen years ago, my best friend Abby was born. Today should be one of the greatest, most exciting days of her life.  But no one could have anticipated how today would end.

"Hurry up, Abbs!" I yelled, banging on the bathroom door.

"Chill, woman! I'm almost ready!" she yelled back.

"Come on girl! Your man will be here any minute!" I reminded her, smiling at the way Abby giggled when I said man.

"I'm ready!" she exclaimed, flanging the bathroom door open and skipping out.

"Aw Ab! You look so pretty!" I returned her excitement.

She was wearing a backless navy blue dress, with a sweetheart neckline that stopped just above her knees. She was wearing the black peep toe pumps that I get her for Christmas. Her blond hair was full of soft, elegant curls that fell down her tanned bare back.  She wear minimal makeup, just a coat of mascara to enhance her light blue eyes. And a pale pink lip gloss over her prefect, full lips.

Abby was just your all around girl next door. She was liked by everyone she met, and could have any guy she wanted without trying. She was a cheerleader and had impeccable grades. I was jealous of her at times. Oh hell.... who am I kidding? I envied her.

I looked at myself in the full length mirror hanging from the wall. I stared at myself  in the red strapless dress that Abby had pulled from her closet and focused me to wear. It was tight fitting, almost a second skin and way to short for my liking. On any other occasion you wouldn't dare catch me wearing something like this. Me and Abby were very different. Unlike her, I wasn't popular, and didn't have any friends other then her. I wasn't pretty by anyone's standard, I wouldn't' call myself ugly, just very...plain. After looking my body up in down my glaze landed on my face. I could still see the faint purple on my right cheek peeking thought the lays of makeup I applied to try and cover it.  I poked my cheek, all traces of pain gone. I then took a compact powder out of my purse and applied a bit more to completely hide the mark on my cheek.

The door bell rung, alerting us of someone's arrival.

"He's here!" Abby squealed and took off running down the stairs, I followed close behind, and couldn't help but laugh at her excitement.

Abby's mom had already let the visitor in by the time we reached the living room. Abby grinned when she show him, and he smiled back.

She walked, or rather ran, to him and throw her arms around his neck and planted a kiss on his lips. He wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her off the ground, spinning her in a circle.

"Hi there" he said, placing her feet back on the ground.

"Hi" she giggled and kissed him again.

"You look beautiful"

"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself".

He leaned down to kiss her again, and this time they stood there wrapped up in the kiss, forgetting they weren't the only people in the room.

I cleared my throat, getting their attention.

Abby looked at me with a hint of annoyance in her eyes, but it soon disappeared.

He laughed and then turned to look at me with his blue eyes.

"Looking good, Miller" He winked playful.

"Thanks, Chase".

He walked up and hugged me. I just stood there awkwardly while he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and hugged me close to him for a minute then released me and returned to his spot next to Abby.

"You ladies ready to go?" He asked looking between the two of us.

"Yup!"

"Yeah" I agreed slightly less enthusiastic then Abby.

"Lets go". Chase said, pulling Abby out the front door by her hand. I followed, quietly behind. Chase opened the passenger door to his truck and helped Abby in. Then helped me into the backseat and shut the door before climbing into the drivers seat.

"You kids have fun!" Abby's mom yelled, waving out the door as we drove off.

After a very silent fifteen minute drive we arrived at our destination.

"Um Chase.... Why are we at your house?" Abby questioned as we all piled out of Chase's truck.

Chase gave me a knowing look then walked around the front of his truck to Abby and held his hand out for her, which she took gladly.

"Grams wanted us to stop by"

"Oh, okay".

We  made our way up the front pouch steps and waited for Chase to unlocked the door. He turned the door knob and slowly opened the door..

This would differently be a night none of us would forget..

*So here's chapter 5! I know it wasn't the best chapter and its kinda short.... I promise the next one will be longer! :) Let me know what you think! I'd loved to hear from my readers ^_^ Thank you for reading! <3
