Gianni was now officially friends with the cutest guy she's ever met. And that was a fact. Well, at least... until proven false.

She pondered all the way home, as Amira tugged her down the street. It had started to rain, and it didn't take very long for it to start pouring, escalating into thunder and lightning.

"Oh great! Of course it had to rain today." Amira grumbled. Gianni was terrified of thunder. She quickly lifted up her hood, feeling droplets smash into her hoodie, soaking her completely in a matter of seconds. Amira and Gianni started taking a mad dash into the heavy rain. They shivered from the cold. "This way!" Amira shouted and pulled Gianni into safety. They sat on a bench intended for a bus stop, but at least it sheltered them from the heavy rain. Cars zoomed by them in heaps, splashing  water everywhere. Gianni froze in her skin as she saw lightning strike not too far away from her, the noise lagged behind the strike. She crunched down as if paralyzed, and her body felt completely helpless and afraid. She started crying and shaking. Amira pulled her close and hugged her. "It'll be alright, Gianni." Amira whispered in a calm voice.

Gianni started shivering a lot more than before, now that she was no longer in the storm. Relief came fluttering in her body as she heard Amira dialing her phone. Gianni couldn't hear what Amira was saying on the phone, as if her ears had succumbed to water. After Amira hung up, Gianni could hear again.

"Crazy storm, huh? That lightning has no business being so close by." She 'tsk'ed and covered the shivering girl in her jacket. The shivering Gianni nodded in appreciation.

"Th-thanks." She said, letting her gratitude show through her shivering.

She looked at her with a worried expression. "Is the jacket helping?"

Gianni shook her head, "N-No, that's not it... It's just that I am afraid of thunder."

Amira shuffled to sit closer to her.

"I know, it's dumb." Gianni grimaced, putting her palm on her forehead. Amira suddenly snuggled closer to the shivering girl.

Gianni choked on the air around her, "A-A-Amira? W-What are you doing?" A blush covered every inch of her body. Amira chuckled at her reaction, but didn't move away from her, "I'm trying to warm you up."

If Gianni had to guess, Amira looked tired. But, somehow, she still managed to comfort her.

"Snuggling keeps everyone warm, and it's working cause' your face is warm now. Beet red, in fact." Amira teased.

"S-Stop messing around!" Gianni pushed the redhead away.

"I called my dad. He's on his way to pick us up." She smiled.

"Good..." Gianni held the jacket close to her face, to hide her flushed red cheeks.
