"Again, my friend
It's been a while since I could
Look you in the eyes...
'Cause I am foolish, and I'm sorry
But sorry never made it feel alright
Alright...."
~30 Lives, Imagine Dragons
~Adam's POV~
That morning, after a restless half-sleep that spanned the whole night, I picked up my IHC. Standing for Inter-dimensional Holo-communicator, Notch had created them for every player so they could communicate and hop servers. We could also call up our friends in a holo-chat, and that's what I was doing.
I connected a call to Mitch, Jerome, and Jason, as they are the people who I hadn't seen in the past three days or so.
"Call to: Bajancanadian, JeromeASF, and Minecraftuniverse," the IHC sounded. A little 3-d picture of the three, spinning in a circle, shone in blue light.
"Adam...!" Jason responded first- he sounded startled out of something.
"Hey dude, sup?" I asked, confused.
"I should be asking you that," he responded, shooting my question back at me.
"Well, something odd happened yesterday..." I averted my eyes, the holo-picture of Jason blinking at me. He had his helmet off, which was rare. It only happened when he was sleeping or something either really bad or really good had happened. He blinked at me, then suddenly his hands flew to his mouth.
"Adam, did Ty...." I nodded quickly, blinking tears from my eyes. I had a feeling it had happened to him as well.
"Oh Notch, Adam... Did you see his eyes?"
I nodded again, unable to get words out, when I heard a smack and the spinning picture of Mitch turned to a black circle of static. Did he seriously just butt-answer me? Jerome cancelled the call altogether. My laugh was short, and Jason glanced over at the black.
"He just accidentally answered, didn't he?" He asked, not really needing an answer. Suddenly we heard voices, and Jason and I both shut up.
"I don't k-know... His eyes! Jerome, he-" I heard muffled cries, and tried not to gasp.
"I don't know what's going on, but I'm... I'm sure he's okay..." Jerome's voice. "He was different. The real Ty would never do that, remember? He wouldn't...." A 'mmhmm' came from the muffled voice, which I pieced together was Mitch. Had he just been... Targeted? I dared not speak.
Suddenly I saw fur where the black was, and Jerome's face appeared in the picture.
"Adam! Jason! This isn't a good time..." He trailed off, and Mitch shut himself up. Probably for our sake. But I didn't really care- I was worse for wear(to not elaborate) when I came home as well.
"Jerome... We - I - called you guys about Ty."
"How much have you two heard?"
"Enough," Jason answered. Jerome glanced down, and presumably nudged Mitch.
"Mitch, It's Adam and Jason... Shh, they know too. C'mon, please talk to them?" Mitch poked his head into the render frame, rubbing away tears. I just had this odd impulse to hug him, and I bit my lip.
"I don't like this. Calling is frustrating, where are you guys?"
"We're at Mitch's," Jerome answered.
"Jason, let's go." I looked over at Jason, a look of determination spreading across my face. "Ty needs help. And I'm gonna help him, no matter what it costs."

~Jerome's POV~
I heard a knock at Mitch's door, and I laid him down on the pillow softly. In the time it had taken Adam and Jason to come here, the Benja had fallen asleep. Just as well, too. He was an absolute wreck when he called me an hour ago, and I came over to calm him down. I had had my own little... Er, 'episode' when Ty snapped, but it was mostly anger. I was curious on how Adam and Jason reacted, but I wouldn't pry. I cast one last smile back at Mitch and brushed his hair back before leaving him to his slumber.
I hopped downstairs, that half-skip walk that some people do, and opened the door to Jason - Helmet carried under his arm - and Adam - Glasses covering his eyes. They both gave hollow smiles and walked upstairs. I made the 'sshh' sign, and they complied. I sat down on Mitch's bed, brushing back his hair again.
"I would make a Merome joke," Adam started, "but I'm not really in the mood." I nodded, understanding how he felt.
"Geeze, poor Mitch... You wouldn't have wanted to see me after Ty- after Ty-" Adam cut his sentence short, but the sentence was a rare showing of deep emotion anyways.
"So we're here to talk about what to do, right?" Jason asked, and I nodded. His hair was pulled backward in a way that I'm sure would sweep any girl off her feet, but only we've ever seen his helmet off. I nodded, then suddenly Adam pushed his sunglasses up. He started spewing out his whole incident, every last detail as far as I knew.

~Jason's POV~
By the time Adam was done explaining what happened, he was an complete wreck. I was surprised he hadn't bursted into tears, honestly. He was currently leaning against me, whimpering about how awful it was, something or other. But I was only half-paying attention- he was completely out of it. Suddenly I heard a knock at the door.
"Lemme get it," Jerome piped up, getting up and trotting down the stairs.
"Oh! Seto! Why're you here?... What?! Uh, come in! Maybe you can help. Mitch, Jason, and Adam are upstairs. Do you know what happened with Ty?... Yeah, awful, 'aint it?" Two pairs of feet tromped up the steps and Jerome poked his head back in the bedroom, followed by a very distressed-looking Seto. His disposition only shifted slightly when he saw Adam.
No one really knew Seto's real name, not even us. But it was for good reason. It was common knowledge that when a sorcerer decided their path, they had to conceal their name and seclude themselves from everyone they once knew. Seto sighed and sat down on the bed next to Jerome.
"Something's wrong with Ty," he started, "and it's not just a personality change. Those purple eyes... They're part of something greater. Probably an apparition, from what I felt." Quick and to the point, as always. Even so, my eyes widened.
"An- an apparition? What do you mean?" Jerome asked, a slight stutter tainting his voice with fear. Seto shook his head.
"I have yet to find out. Even so, Deadlox needs our help, and quick." Then he looked downward, and mumbled as if he didn't want anyone to hear, "...Before he is consumed by it."
