chapter six

saeidni

Beth sat quietly at the only desk in our room. Let it be. I growled in my head. I didn't feel like messing with her right now. Letting out a sigh I tossed my bookbag onto my bed.

The first day of Highschool and I already feel so fucking drained. I got out my math homework and began to answer the questions. Some parents have to pay over seven-hundred dollars just to have their kid overworked.

As I was working I kept thinking about Mr.Clementime. I don't usually get into so much trouble with teachers, so why did he talk to me? Because of Mr.Daveed. I rolled my eyes, just thinking his name annoyed me. The only reason Mr.Clementime would say that to me is of Daveed told him.

Never. I confirmed to myself, the stress in my chest releasing jusy a bit. Beth slammed her fist against the top of the desk and screamed, "FUCK. THIS."

My instinct made me cower towards the wall. She's a fucking freak. "When is dipshit going to come back from Whateva-theHell and apologise for being a DISGRACE of a father!" I wanted to say something but I was still in shock from her banshee screaming.

"Eff you, I'm leaving." She stormed out of the room, kinda running into the door but not really, and slammed the door hard making the hinges squeak.

I guess anger issues run in the family.. or something.

The floor was scattered with Elizabeth's papers. I decided I was too tired for work, who doesn't fucking decide that? All I wanted to do was speak to Rowan, but she told me she didn't have a phone number.

Where did Beth even go, or where is she gonna go to? Like, nevermind because she has loads of friends for some reason. Is it a rich person thing? Duh.

Some kids took buses to go home because they actually live around here (even though we are currently in the middle of absolutely fucking no where).

Those kids are lucky, I'd give up anything to go back home. This place sucks and everybody is creepy or mean. It doesn't help that my sister is an ass and my dad still hasn't appeared for shit.

My stomach hurt and my head felt hot. Rowan and Roman's dorm room was upstairs all the way to the left, but I wasn't feeling up to it.

...

Dinner started around 6:00 and all the students piled into the cafeteria. I was already in here, working on the shitty math homework. Rowan was walking towards me by herself with the same damn 'you fell off a fucking tree' expression.

"So.." she sat next to me, pushing me off my seat a bit, and placed her dinner on to the table. "How's life?" "It's legit just been like two hours since we last talked." I murmured throughmy hands, I was stuck on this one problem.

Rowan moved her arm to the left side of me, even though she was on my right, and pointed towards my problem. "That's twenty-three." She answered with sincerity. I growled at her, but a playful one. She was a grade above me so of course she was better at this than me.

"Where's Roman?" I grabbed an apple off her lunch tray and bit into it. "Oh, he never comes to dinner." She put a fist onto her face which supported her massive math from ninth grade holding head. That was a joke.

I shrunk down into my seat, feeling stupid as fuck for asking. "Why?" Rowan punched my shoulder. "To do homework! He's the smartest damn ninth grader-- no offence.." she put her hands up in defense, "..he's in all enriched classes of the grade!" I leaned backwards into my seat. "Oh damn, really?"

Her head rapidly shook up and down. "Dur." Does she ever feel embarrassed? I mean, she acts so fucking wild without flinching or holding herself back. She did tell me that she was here for ninth grade so maybe she's just friends with everybody and they just think, 'Oh it's crazy ol' bad ass Rowan.' Is that how it worked?

Thud! I broke out of my trance and looked towards the upstairs offices. Mr.Daveed.

He was tripping over himself trying to pick up the scattered books and papers. For the first time ever I saw what the secretary actually looked like.

Even though people started talking loud again I heard her mumble, "You're a moron, Keith." She stood upwards, some of Daveed's papers in her hands, and wiped a black strand of hair from her face. She was average looking with a fancy-ass suit.

"Her name is like.. Patrice or something." Rowan coughed through bites. I never like the name Patrice, I don't know why. Patrice is such a gay name. She continued to pick up Mr.Daveed's papers, than the two of them disappeared back into the upstairs hallway.

I really wanted to talk to him or punch him. Show him how much of an idiot he is. Rowan continued to mind her own buisness and so did I, she probably doesn't like me. I stared at my homework and answered all the questions.

"Go ta ye' damn dorms!" the lunch lady with another stupid southern voice screamed loudly. Students began to pour their unfinished dinner into the trash and left.

"Hey, Liberty." Rowan nudged me, which startled me because I was still cursing out the lunch lady in my head. "I'm gonna go straight to my room, can you throw out ny trash?" I nodded slightly and she immedeatly ran out of the closest doors.

Damn.

I grabbed her empty lunch tray and put it on top of the trash can. It didn't have food on it so why act like it did.

Maybe I should go upstairs and talk to Daveed. I need to tell him or ask him what Mr.Clementime meant. Yeah, he needs to know that if one person finds out about my family it could fucking spread. I'm not proud of my "dad" and I don't want people to know that I'm the descendant of a shit head.
