"Ms. Alezandru?" An officer questions.
"I'll be right back okay?" I assure Caliy.
"What's your relation with Caliy?" He asks.
"I'm her dance teacher," I answer.
"And you say this isn't the first time?"
I hand him my phone and allow him to read the messages.
"I'm gonna need to confiscate this for evidence," the officer states.
"May I get my numbers off of there before you take it?" I ask.
"Of course."
I write down a few numbers then hand my phone back. I walk out to the waiting room and see Seb holding Amelia, whose asleep. I smile and inform Seb what is happening. I see Caliy's parents walk in and I look at the officer.
"You can't let them see her. Please," I beg of the officer.
"Don't worry. They aren't going to hurt her again. As a matter of fact when she gets out we'd like to place her with you. Would you be willing-"
"Yes. Of course. We bond very well," I smile.
He thanks me and I walk back to Caliy's room. I inform her of what's going on and she hugs me.
"Thank you so much," she cries in my shoulder.
"Don't thank me. I know what you're going through. Some anyway. I lost my mother due to abuse. My brother, Don, his parents adopted my sister and I. You can't give up. I won't let you," I give her a warning smile.
9:00pm
"You didn't tell me you had a daughter," Seb states.
"I was getting there. I swear I was gonna tell you," I look at Amelia who is still asleep on Seb.
"She told me how she looks up to you. How old she is, how she likes coloring, how she's like you," he smiles.
"Chris and I were engaged. I broke it off because he cheated on me. He's a great guy and I'm not saying that because he's her father it's the truth. He's a great guy. We'd just never work out," I state.
"He is. We worked together last year."
"How old did she say she was?" I refer to my daughter.
"She said she was five," he smiles.
"She's three. She's Chris' and he had her but she doesn't stay all the time and we didn't go to court. He doesn't pay child support because when he comes home from filming he comes and gets her. He's a great dad just not relationship material," I state.
"She's right you know," Seb says.
"About?"
"How she's like you. She's a spitting image of you. She told me everything you do and did. She's pretty smart for being three. You were an UFC fighter?" He cocks his head.
"Oh god. Yes. I was in the UFC but I quit. I didn't want we seeing that. Before I got with chris and had her my stepfather found me. I had so much hatred and Don recorded me boxing and I got signed. I broke my contract because I didn't want my daughter seeing and growing up with that," I explain.
"You're a great mom. You should get some sleep. You're gonna have a long day tomorrow," Seb says.
I agree and get comfortable in the chair. I soon fall asleep.
