A couple months had passed before everyone in the mutant world had found out the gem was gone. At first they were mad, people would send us death threats. But it soon ended.
I sat on the couch with Carmen in my arms and Belle beside us. I leaned over and kissed Carmen. Finally we decided to make it official. I stood up and held Carmen's hands. I asked her to be my girlfriend and of course she said yes.
I smiled "Carmen I can't wait to have our happy ever after, I cant wait to live with you and spend the rest of my life with you."
We finally told our family that we were together and they quickly accepted us for who we were. We never went back to my house or Carmen's house. We stayed in our small barn. Just me, Carmen, and Belle..
Even though the gem was gone and I couldn't live forever with Carmen..
I would say.. Life Is Great..
