~Kang Mi-Hi's POV~
The light pierced my eyes as opened my eyes to awareness.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes and looked around. It was sunny outside and it was quiet. I saw a familiar figure on the couch, sleeping, which brought a smile to my face.
Taehyung.
I looked for my phone and found it on the table next to me. I opened it and checked the percentage, which was surprisingly on 60%.
"Mi-Hi?" I looked up from my phone and Taehyung was rubbing his eyes before he looked at me. He got up and sat next to me, on my bedside.
"You okay, Tae?" I asked, he nodded, smiling slightly.
"But look at you! You've been shot," I giggled.
"Maybe, but that's why I'm concerned, you could've been shot too!" I said, "I'd rather have me be hurt than you be hurt, Tae," He sighed, but he didn't say anything.
"Umm, Mi-Hi...you weren't on the table for very long... but, apparently... your brothers came," I froze, my breath caught in my throat, "But they called you, Shinhye... what's going on?" I gulped, I looked away but Taehyung made me look at him, holding my chin with his index finger and thumb. He was a bit taller than me so he looked kinda intimidating with that blank expression on his face.
"I don't want you to keep secrets," I felt the guilt starting to eat at me, I hugged myself.
"How much do you know?" I asked, with a quiet tone in my voice, he grew a thoughtful look on his face.
"I know you're running from something, I know you have brothers and people who are trying to protect you that are growing desperate... I know Mi-Hi isn't your real name," I took a breath.
"I was trying to protect you Tae... but I was so stupid, I knew I could put you in danger just by being with you but I didn't listen," I sighed, "But if I must..." I sat up straight in a more comfortable position. "Yoongi is my twin brother, he's a minute older than me, and Jungkook was born a couple years after, I-I thought we had a perfect family... until I saw my dad beat my mom, and he started to beat me too, he taught me how to fight in a variety of fighting styles, and even how to shoot a gun, saying it would be useful for the family business... Mom told me to run, getting me a fake ID and running with a close family friend's son, who is Namjoon... when I told Yoongi, he didn't believe me and wanted to stay, and I didn't take Jungkook because I knew Yoongi would never forgive me, so I ran and I have been in hiding ever since," Taehyung was listening attentively to the story, and even after it was done, he didn't change his expression, I looked away, "I'm sorry, Tae... I should've told you- but you just made me so happy and I didn't wanna bother you with my problems," Taehyung hugged me for a quick second, pulling away and holding my cheek.
"You're right, you should've told me... but if I was in your shoes, I would have done the same," I nodded in acknowledgement.
"You're not mad?" I asked, "Were you mad?" He shook his head.
"No... I was rather hurt and disappointed, but I had a feeling you wouldn't do such a thing without a good reason," he explained to me, "Thanks for telling me," I felt tears brimming in my eyes and Taehyung took me in his embrace.
"I'm sorry that had to happen to you, Mi- Shin..."
"It's okay, you can call me Shinhye... just don't call me that out in public," He nodded as I felt him caress my hair.
"I-I promise, I'll protect you," He kissed my forehead and I looked up and smiled. He smiled his box smile at me and I pinched his cheeks before I heard the door open.
"You have family here to see you," she said, and I nodded, I looked up at Taehyung and smiled when he tucked my hair behind my ear and left the room. Two guys walked in the room, and I smiled.
"Noona!" Jungkook ran up to me and hugged me tightly.
"Jungkookie!" He pulled away from me and I felt his arms in amazement, "Dang Jungkook, you're getting so big and strong," His grin never faded.
"Thanks Noona, I've been working out, dieting, and dancing!" he said, Yoongi rolled his eyes.
"Yet, he hasn't had a girlfriend yet!" Jungkook pouted and crossed his arms.
"Hey! All the girls want me!" he complained, and I giggled, Yoongi sat on the opposite side of where Taehyung was in a chair with his arms crossed.
"Yeah, because you're too scared of girls," Jungkook blushed.
"Don't say that in front of Noona..." He grumbled and I hugged him.
"It's okay, Kook," I said, "I know you're great and I know you did well when I was gone," Jungkook frowned.
"I missed you a lot Noona, " he replied, I rubbed his back.
"I missed you too Jungkookie," He smiled once again and I pinched his cheeks.
"I'm gonna go to the vending machine, you want anything Noona? Hyung?" Yoongi shook his head.
"Can I get a bottled water and M&Ms?" He nodded and left, I looked at Yoongi... it was rather awkward.
"Dyed your hair?" I asked, he nodded.
"You didn't change at all," he told me, I nodded and looked into my lap. It was silent yet again.
"I'm sorry, Shinhye.. I should've believed you, you're my twin sister, and I'm such an idiot for not believing you," I nodded with a small smile.
"It's okay, Yoongs," I answered, "... Thanks for coming," He nodded.
"Me and Jungkook are moving into your apartment building, and we're gonna go to your school," He told me and I smiled.
"Jinija?! YAY!" He laughed.
"You really haven't changed a bit, huh?"
"NOPE,"
