~Kang Mi-Hi's POV~
After Yoongi and Taehyung left, I sat in my bed and twiddled my thumbs while singing 'Thumbs' (by Sabrina Carpenter) in my head. The door opened and I looked to see a figure I didn't wanna see.
Appa.
I gripped the sheets in my lap as I clenched my teeth, watching him walk into the room.
"Hello, daughter,"
"I- um, I mean, Appa..." I mumbled, "W-What brings you here?"
"I need to talk to you," he told me, "I have been trying to tell you this-"
"Tell me what? That you're a criminal?" I asked him, "Yeah, I got that," I rolled my eyes.
"No please, I'm not who you think I am," he pleaded, I just looked at him.
"I actually work for the government, I needed to make everyone believe I was a criminal so we could bust an illegal drug run in Korea," he said, "I took a long time, but I swear, I'm not a criminal,"
"Oh yeah? Prove it," He took a syringe out of his pocket and quickly injected something in me. I winced. It looked blue, he took a cotton pad and cleaned where a little bit of blood came out.
"This is 2X15, it's designed to heal wounds faster by speeding up the process," he said, I looked at him, but started to feel stronger, back to my regular self, "Try and stand up," At first, I was nervous, but I hesitantly got up and it didn't hurt. I smiled.
"No fricking way..." I mumbled as I did all the possible stretches gym class taught me. I looked at Appa, still caught up in the moment, I smiled brightly. When I saw him smile back, my face fell. I didn't mean to smile at the devil.
"I can discharge you right now, since you're healthy," he said, "But you'll have to come with me after you graduate," I narrowed my eyes at him,
"What in the world makes you think I will do that?" I asked him, "I don't-"
"Taehyung," I shut up when I heard him say his name, "I didn't give that order for that sniper, the other government officials did, and they never meant to shoot you, they meant for Taehyung to get shot... and kill," I felt my chest tighten, "They will stop if you agree to work for Korea,"
"Why me?" I asked, he didn't change his expression.
"They said you had to," said Appa, I turned away, "I wanted to give you the life you deserved, but they never let me," I sighed. Thinking deeply. Appa could be lying, he could've stolen that 2X15 for all I know. But... Taehyung, I can put him in danger if I don't... and he's the light of my life. I exhaled and looked back at him.
"Fine... I'll do it,"
