"Dude you look terrible!", my friend Trevor scoffed. "The group" was sitting at our usual table in the cafeteria before school.
"Shut up Trevor." I rolled my eyes and sat down next to Chelsea. "Someone's in a mood," he smirked and nudged his twin brother Josh. They both erupted in laughter as I continued to glare at the siblings. "Shut up Josh," Chelsea defended through a suppressed giggle. I couldn't help but smile.
I'm friends with a bunch of idiots but they're my idiots, you know? I love them like family."So what've you dip-tards been up to all morning?"
Trevor cockily sat upright.
"Well," he began, "I for one got Chloe Nickels to speak to me for five. Whole. Minutes." He grinned as he slipped back into his seat.
"THE Chloe Nickels?", asked Chelsea in bewilderment.
"The. Senior. Chloe Nickels."
"Ew."
"Chels we all know you're just jealous," he teased, "maybe you should've snagged this hot piece while it was still on the market."
We laughed so hard my eyes began to tear.As Chelsea caught her breath, she raised an eyebrow at Trevor from across the table. "Slow down there little one, I don't think your mom's lunch money is quite enough to pay for that engagement ring yet."
The bell rang and we were all off to first period. Being the lucky person that I am, I had gym.
Smelly socks and exercise. Yay...In the hallway I walked with Chels since we have most of the same classes. She has been one of my best friends since middle school. "I don't know what we're gonna do with those boys," she said shaking her head. I smiled.
"I know right?"Chelsea's knapsack glowed and began to ring. "What the hell man," I asked staring accusingly at her.
"Come on Lopez it's nothing. Let me just.. Give me a second."
She hastily rummaged through her bag and pulled out a shiny new iPhone.
"Hey baby. Haha no of course I can talk. No WAY. Oh my gosh. Babe. I love you too!"
I elbowed her in the ribs.
"Mmf. Dude! Ugh... I'm gonna have to call you back. No I love you more. Nooo I love.."
I snatched the phone out of her hands and locked it."The boys were right, you are in a mood."
"Chelsea you guys talk all the time. He's literally one floor above us. Chill."
We walked into the locker room in silence."You know maybe you should find another girlfriend Nick. Move on.. Maybe then you won't be so upset all the time."
