WALK AWAY

24 5 2

You said I was special.

You said I was different.

And I believed you,

I was so ignorant.

You would monitor me,

Like some unbearable parent.

You made my heart sting,

As if drenched in detergent.

My life wasn't mine,

It became yours too.

But yours stayed yours,

I was the only fool.

So I came to my senses,

When you tried to hit me.

The day I finally left,

For once, my world was sunny.

With you out of the picture,

I was no longer led astray.

And all I had to do,

Was walk away.
