DOWN THE LINE

"I'm fat, aren't I?" you'd asked.

"What makes you think that?"

"My hips are too wide."

"They're a perfect size."

"My butt is too big."

"At least you're not a twig."

"My boobs are too small."

"They're just right for my palm."

I'd smirk. You'd blush.

"My eyes are too round."

"Better to stare into all day long."

"My nose is too small."

"Your nose is adorable, doll."

"My ears are tiny."

"They're amazing, sweetie."

You'd sigh. I'd chuckle.

"Why don't you ever listen?"

"Because you don't have my vision."

You'd scrunch up your brows cutely,

"What do you mean?"

"I meant what I said and I said

what I meant," I joked and you'd glare

and I'd quickly explain, you know...

to clear the air.

"You're the most gorgeous woman I've

ever laid eyes on."

"That can't be true."

"You know I'd never lie to you."

You'd frown. I'd smile.

And we'll have this conversation

again, a few months down the line.
