I forgot all about the candle and went straight to bed. I didn't have any crazy dreams. In fact, I don't even think I did dream that night. It wasn't the best rest in the world but it was worth it.
The sun came up and I felt really sore and didn't know why. Everybody was already gone at the time. Then, I had an idea. I called my boss and told him "I'm calling in sick." I guess he didn't care too much of it so he said I just have to drink lots of tea and come in to work tomorrow. I felt happy and scared of what I was about to do.
Quickly, I grabbed my keys and went to the train station. Everything was already arranged for me to go to Summer's mountain, so it was easy for me to get on and off the train. It took about 2 hours and it was freezing cold at the top. I went to everybody in the village and asked them if they knew where an old hotel used to be. One man showed me the way to an empty lot that was buried in snow. I waited for him to leave and I took out the candle and match to do my work.
Sure enough, I was outside a hotel in a split second. It was called Sunny's suites and it was pretty small with only 3 rooms. I asked the front desk worker if somebody left a few matches behind and he showed me to a room that was just up the stairs.
I tried to open the door but it was locked from the inside. I knocked furiously and a soft, feminine voice came from inside. "Just a minute!" I waited for about ten minutes but I couldn't wait any longer because my time was running out. I knocked once more but she just said the exact same thing again. Anger was building up inside me.
I started to push and shove the door. I didn't care about getting in trouble at the time ao I didn't stop until the doir finally flew open. "Excuse me miss. I'm just looking for something I left behind." She had just gotten out of the shower and all she had on was a towel. "Get out! Why are you in here!?" I was getting angry and very impatient so I looked past the woman and the matches were sticking out between the bed frame and the mattress. I quickly grabbed them amd started for the door when a man walked in and started pushing me back into tge room and yelling in a language I couldn't understand. "Umm...this is a big misunderstanding. I will go now, just let me leave please."
The man picked up a knife and started waving it around. He cut me on the back of my neck right as I was about to run out the door. I quickly grabbed an ood record and hit him in the eye with it. The man got dizzy and started to fall. I ran to a nearby restroom as fast as I could and as soon as I could look into the mirror to see if I had wounds on my face, I was already looking at snow falling in front of me. I was in the present again with the matches and the old record in my hand.
I felt a sharp pain on the back of my neck at this moment so I rubbed the wound and looked at my hand. There was a lot of blood running down my fingers so I quickly ran to the road and caught a cab. He took me to the hospital and I waited for the doctor to get to me.
The doctor finally examined me and gave me stitches. He asked "how'd this happen anyway? If you don't mind me asking." I only said "I got into a fight." The doctor shrugged and let me go. I didn't have to stay overnight or anything since the wound wasn't that deep.
I only stayed at Summer's Mountain for a month and it wasn't as fun as I had expected. Also, none of the matches were used because I only wanted to use them once I got back home. But, at the end of the month, it was finally time for me to go back home.
