Chapter 17

Ellie and Ephia were walking in the forest, not knowing what to do. Everything was getting hotter, and there were a ton of dirt ditches and random rocks. Then, suddenly they were set in a trap.

"Gah!" Yelled Ephia. She was trapped, like a fish trapped in a net, whcih is like being trapped in a net.

Ellie did not treat having sharp rope pushing against her skin while she hung upside-down in a net as kindly as Ephia did. Her anger came in a fit of swearing and screaming.

Then, a group of people, all wearing red leaves with burt tips for masks, saw them. They were confused.

"The Ice Queen let women into her army?' Said one. He thought the Ice Queen was a sexist, bigoted, racist, speciesist and spacist, and he was wrong, but that doesn't matter.

"I was with her army a few weeks ago until I managed to escape and there were no women in the army. It was a law." Said another.

"Are you, real warriors?" Said one of them, wanting to check if they were part of the queen's army.

"Ye-' Ellie was about to lie until a loud "No!" came from Ephia. Ephia thought they were nice looking people and wouldn't hurt them like the others.

The trap then let them go, and the villagers asked things like "How did you get that outfit" and "Why were you in the territory of us, the fire dwellers?"

"What are fire dwellers?" Asked Ephia, wanting to know about this strange land.

"How can she not know?" Said a big one, looking quite gruff. "We should kill her for not knowing basic history and being dumb!"

"Quiet, Crassus. Hello, Ellie and Ephia. Welcome to the Fire Territory. If you can't tell by the things around you, we dried up all of the water. All of the ditches and rocks used to have water. Until we were forced out of the desert by the markets. Ohh how I hate those no good market men. They bought our land, telling us we would get a reserve and our castle was still there until they swindled us! But let me not get ahead of myself. I am Dux Ignis, and I am the fortune teller of the village. And I know your plan. I can help you. We just need to escort you to the Heavy Forest."

He sounded like a drunk eleven year old trying to sound smart and interesting... hmm... reminds me of somebody...

MEANWHILE WITH DARREN AND LAWRENCE

Darren slapped Lawrence in the face. "You deserve that for getting us into this mess," He said.

"Yeah I guess. I suck, I know." he said.

"So, what got you onto that ship? I fell out of an escape pod and into the ocean until one of the bone things kidnapped me." Darren asked.

"Oh, some kind of usual. Fought a horde of zombie things and drove off a cliff onto the ship." Said Lawrence, kinda chuckling at what had happened and how bizarre it was.

"I was abandoned, kidnapped, attacked by aliens and made all of the people from the cat town terrified of me. Then, like I said, boarded a cruise to this shithole." He said, sarcastically.

They chuckled, then Lawrence broke a silence that carried on afterwards.

"It feels amazing to see you again. I bet we're missing now, too." Said Lawrence.

"Eehh, I bet my parents are happy. When I get back I'm gonna have to arrest some people." Said Darren, trying to be a bit playful but serious.

"Mine are probably going crazy. I always call them daily to stop them from freaking out. They probably have half of the country searched." Said Lawrence.

"Once we get back and we live together, we'll need to make your bed bigger." Said Darren, knowing that he'll definitely sleep with Lawrence.

They approached a staircase with a smokey sent.

"Ready to go into hell?" Asked Darren. he was pointing at the stairs, not a sign that said Hell.

"Yeah," Answered Lawrence as he started to walk up the stairs.

"Oh, and uhh.. one more thing," Said Darren, to Lawrence, smoothly.

"What is it?" Asked Lawrence, confused.

Darren kissed Lawrence passionately, tongues and all, and Lawrence kissed back. And asker around ten seconds, they let go of each other and gave a semi salute.

DO-YEON AND THE OTHER FOUR PEOPLE

They marched the same way others were marching.

Then, a ton of roots started to appear everywhere.

They started bringing people underground and suffocating them. One of the people with Do-Yeon were dragged under, but the others escaped. They ran all into different directions.

Do-Yeon ran to the ice kingdom, trying to warn Darren and Lawrence, but he saw a figure in brown with bright ginger hair signal him to go into the woods.

So Lawrence has this under control, Do-Yeon thought. Do-Yeon knew he had to help Ellie and Ephia, so he did so.

So he went into the woods.

This chapter is a bit rushed, I'm sorry. The jokes also might feel a bit heartless, that's because I forgot about them and forced myself to make some. The next book I make will take place on The Center Of The Elements which is the island they're on, so this might all make sense. Also, I am eleven.
