WARNINGS AND NOTES
(not part of the story)

My name is Diana and I'm the "writer" (I don't know if you can call me a writer yet xD) of Blue Kiss.
This Romance is based in mangas I've read throughout time. So you'll notice many references of Japanese culture.

Whenever you read "[see note #]", (in which the "#" represents a number) you can go to the end of the chapter to see the notes of that specific chapter or go here to read the complete LIST OF NOTES. This notes serve to explain references about the Japanese culture that you might not understand.

(I advise you not to read notes of chapters you haven't read yet, because it might ruin the story.)

Down below is the complete list of notes.

LIST OF NOTES:

Chapter One:

NOTE 1:
- In Japan people only call others by their first name when they become close friends. If they never become close, it means they'll always call themselves by their last name. (in this case, Souno's last name is Echizen, so Yuna should've called him Echizen instead of Souno.)

NOTE 2:
- In Japan (and other countries, mostly Asian (I guess >w<) when you say sorry or thank you or even when you greet someone, you bow. It's respectful, and it's a sign you're being polite to the other/s.

•Chapter Two:

NOTE 3:
- When people arrive at home in Japan, they say "I'm home!", when they're alone, and "We're home!", when they arrive with someone else.

NOTE 4:
- Kanji is a character that comes from the Chinese alphabet, which all were adapted to the Japanese writing.
Curiosity: There are more than 2 thousand "must know" kanjis in Japanese, and there is a total of more than 50 thousand kanjis!!

NOTE 5:
- In Japan, most of the doors are not opened pushed to the front or pulled back, they are pushed to the side. Also, most of the doors are made out of paper so that the light can pass but not the wind.

NOTE 6:
- Dango is a food which consists of little balls on a stick (stop having dirty thoughts). And they have two vertical lines for the eyes. Dangos are used not only as food but also as a keychains, stuffed animals etc. (I'm not really sure if it's like this, but it's not really that important.) If you want to see how Dangos look like just search on google. They also have a super cute song! Check it out if you'd like :D
