Chapter 3: The First Day

I'm sorry I've not been active and that I took so long to finish the second chapter. But now that the second chapter is done here is the third one!

3rd CHAPTER: The First Day

It took me a super long time to fall asleep since my heart wanted to stay awake. Plus I wasn't used to the new bed yet.

"I'm so tired... My eyes must look awful."

I looked at the mirror that was in my bedroom and I wasn't wrong. My eyes were really swelled up.

"Oh well, at least my hair is not that bad."

I woke up earlier than what I needed so that I could take a morning bath.
Uncle told me I could choose between taking a bath in the morning and/or night whenever I wanted. But he also said I had to tell him beforehand. [see note. 7].

≪Uncle? I'm going to take a bath!≫

I shouted from the door of the bathroom wearing only a towel.

Before entering the bathroom I noticed the door next to it was suddenly opened by...

"Is it uncle? No! It's..."
≪Souno!! ...≫
"BAM!"
Right after shouting Souno's name I closed the bathroom's door as fast as I could.

"Why did I shout his name? I should've been quiet! I hope he didn't hear me. Ah, am I stupid or what?"

Right after that, someone knocked on the bathroom's door. "Knock knock..."

"Crap! Did he heard me?"

≪Is everything ok, Yuna? You suddenly screamed my name. Do you want me to undress you?≫
≪W-W-WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING, YOU PERVERT?!≫
I said the first thin that came to my head, which is never a good thing.
≪You really thought I wanted to undress you? Tsk, you're really full of yourself, aren't you? And you're so loud, even though it's still morning. Just hurry up and take your bath before the water gets cold.≫

"Ugh, I really am stupid."

After taking a bath and dressing up I went downstairs to eat breakfast.

Having arrived at the bottom of the stairs I directed myself to the kitchen.

≪Souno, where are you?≫
≪I'm leaving.≫

The sound came from my right-side. When I looked at the direction of the sound I saw it came from the front door.

≪Wha...? Did you eat breakfast without me?≫ I asked (joking around) with a surprised face.
≪Of course.≫ He said, bluntly.

Right after saying that he closed the door without saying anything more.

"So rude! He didn't even say "I'm heading out." or anything. It could only be that guy. He makes me so mad!" [see note, 8]

In the moment Souno closed the door I looked at my watch. Afterwards I grabbed my miso soup and drank it in one blow. Why? Because I was late, and it had to be right in the first day of school.

"It seems that today I'm having a hard time focusing on stuff! I need a good night of sleep."

I grabbed my bag as fast as I could and then I went, with all my might, to the front door. Having closed the door I ran outside and I saw Souno in the distance. I kept running until I reached him.

≪Hey... Souno...≫
I was still breathing really quickly, since I had ran like a crazy hyena.
≪I... don't really know... the path to school...≫

Before talking, Souno looked at me with eyes that were saying "You poor stupid human being", even though he didn't feel sorry at all.

≪Tsk. Just follow me.≫
He ended up saying as he rested his hand, which was holding his bag, on his shoulder.
≪I had already planned to do that.≫ I said while I did a psychotic face.
≪Are you trying to sound like a crazy stalker?≫
≪Who knows...≫ I said while trying not to laugh.

We didn't talk again while walking, and, some minutes later, we arrived at a train station.

≪Oh, do we need to ride a train to school? It's my first time going on a train!!≫ I said with an enormous smile on my face.
≪You get excited with just that?≫
≪"Just that" you say?≫
≪You really are a simple country girl.≫

"What?"
I was surprised with his comment.

≪I'm sorry then.≫ I said, a bit angry.

"He might just be teasing me again, but that now was a little rude."

It was time for the train arrival. I was so amazed by the train that I stood there simply looking at it.

≪What are you doing standing there, stupid?≫

I came to my senses and followed Souno.

I thought about telling him he was a bit rude, because I know guys don't notice a thing about girl's thoughts. But when I was about to talk, he spoke.

≪I didn't want to be rude. But it's true anyways.≫

"How can he always know what I'm thinking? Does he have psychic powers?? That would be awesome!"

But he still said "it's true" that I was a simple country girl...

"That stupid guy really gets on my nerves."

≪... Souno, how do you always know what I'm thinking?≫

≪...≫

His silent answer was really suspicious.

≪Why don't you answer me?≫
≪...Because I don't know if I should tell you yet...≫

"Is this what Souno and uncle we're talking about yesterday? Souno has psychic powers?"

≪You can trust me.≫ I said.

Souno looked at me with a serious expression. Then his face gradually changed to poker face.
And then...

≪Pfffffft Ahahahah! Look at you getting all serious about it! Ahahahahah.≫
≪Souno! Stop irritating me! Grrr.≫
≪But your reactions are just so stupid and funny. Ahah.≫

"He's even crying! Tsk."

≪So that means you don't have any psychic powers?≫
His expression turned serious again.
≪"Who knows".≫

"That was a totally cheap imitation of me."

≪Mou~ The stupid here is you, not me!! You can't even make a proper imitation.≫

Souno was still laughing at me, and, even though I was still upset with him, I couldn't help but laugh too.

Anyone around us would thought we were friends just having fun.

Out of our space, a girl, who was standing next to us on the train, with a serious face, looked at us, analyzing everything. Even tough she was surrounded with her friends, she wasn't paying attention to them. For some unknown reason, me and Souno were more important to her on that moment.

I didn't saw her and neither did I imagine she would make such an important mark on my Tokyo adventure.

"I wonder what's that girl's name. She's wearing the same uniform I am, so that must mean she's from our school. She might even be in my class. Who knows? Maybe she knows Souno and that's the reason why she was looking this way. But why was she looking so intensely?"
