Chapter One

(Sorry! I changed the 2nd year highschool thing into 2nd Year College. I got a little mixed up with the ages of the characters so.... I changed it.)

I WAS BULLIED. I didn't know what to do. I had my best friends. But when they're not in sight, I feel so lost. I'm shy around people I'm not close with. Well, most of us feel that.

When I was in 4th Grade, I had a friend. She was my close friend. We've known each other since the 2nd Grade. We became best friends. But, when were classmates again in 4th Grade, I thought she was still my friend. But she's not. She started treating me like I'm her servant or something. I didn't want to get hurt. So, I just followed her.

I was in 5th Grade when she was my classmate again. At first, I was scared. But, I am not afraid anymore. I thought to myself "Don't be afraid of her. I know more things than her. I'm smarter. Stronger than her.". It gave me inspiration to be brave. So I did. Right now, I am in 2nd Year College.

I am alone sitting on a bench. It is lunch break. I'm just watching people playing volleyball. It's just a normal, boring day at school. At the corner of my eye, I see something move. I look around and see a blonde haired boy standing near me. I tried to ignore him but, he was too handsome to avoid. I know him. He's the most popular boy in the whole school.

He sits beside me. My body started to heat up. "They play so good, aye?" he says. His pure Irish accent making me shiver. "Yeah." I say. He started talking to me. "What's your name? I'm Niall Horan by the way." he says with a smile "I'm Claire Prior." I say with a smile too. "What a beautiful name." Niall compliments and I blush.

I feel quite awkward. I mean, like a popular person talking to an average girl at school. Well, it's fine though. Nevermind. "So are you British?" Niall asks and I nod. "My mates are British too. I'm the only Irish one." Niall says and giggles. We talked for quite a bit. To my surprise, he's very nice. Well maybe not all popular people are mean and selfish. "What's your favourite-" Niall was about to ask something when a person called him "Niall, let's go!" a boy voice said. Maybe one of his British friends. "Just wait a minute!" Niall says at them "Sorry 'bout that." Niall apologizes "No. It's fine." I say. "Niall!" I hear the same voice again "Alright! Just wait." Niall says getting a bit annoyed "I better get going now. The lads won't stop." Niall says. "You should call me sometime." Niall whispers in my ear making me shiver. He slips a paper in my hand and leaves going to his friends.

I can't believe it! Niall Horan just gave me his number. I watched them as they walk. I saw Niall as he gave me a goodbye wave. I smiled. I'm so happy! I've had a crush on him since forever. But he never knew me before, I think. I'm just so happy that he talked to me.

I look at the paper he gave me. It says "Give me a call, love. Talk to ya later ♥♥ Nialler". Awww. He's so sweet. I smile at the paper when I hear my name being called. "Claire!" a familiar voice says. It's my best friend Lauren. She sits beside me and swings her arm on my shoulder "You're so lucky!" Lauren says "Lucky? Why?" I ask "Duh! You just talked with Niall freaking hot Horan." she says "Oh. It's no big deal." I say "You sure?" she asks "I'm just kidding! It's a freakin' big deal!" I say and hug her.

I keep looking at Claire as we walk far from her. I catch a glimpse of her smiling at me then it is gone. We're far from her now. Trees are blocking her. I frown a little. No problem. She has my number. She can call me. "Hey Niall," Liam says putting his arm around my shoulder "We saw you talking to a beautiful girl awhile ago. Who is she?". There's a little silence. "Her name's Claire. Claire Prior." I say "So you guys just met?" asks Louis and I nod. "And I gave her my number so we could talk sometime." I say not getting shy or embarrassed "Wow. Just like that?" Harry asks "Niall has his Irish charms. You can't argue with that." Zayn says with a thumbs up.

So, our next class is English. Sigh. I wish Claire would be there too. I walk to my locker and get my books and stuff. I hear voices around saying "I'm late for class!" and some "Sh*t! I forgot my book,". Then, I hear my name being called. "Hey Niall,". It's a female voice. It's Brooke Mason. They call her the most prettiest girl in this school. But I don't consider her pretty. They also call her the evil witch. Because she's mean to people she doesn't know, people she doesn't like, people that pisses her off and something like that. I turn around seeing Brooke with her girls. "How are you?" she asks while flashing her eyes at me "I'm fine. I really gotta go. I'll be late for class." I say and try to get away from her but she grabs my arm "C'mon Niall. Let's talk." She says "Don't you dare grab me." I say getting angry at her. Her face was shocked even her best friends faces were shocked. "I'm late for class." I say while letting go from her grasp and walk to my class.

I walk inside the classroom and find a seat. Suddenly, I see Claire! There's an empty seat beside her so I seat next to her. She waves at me and I wave back.

I see a lot of students here who are sleepy, bored and doesn't even care about anything. I look at Claire and she is really focused. I smile at her smartness. Well, I'm paying attention too.

After class, everyone in class all go out fast. Except for me, Claire and a girl. I think the girl is her best friend because she's talking to Claire. After I fix my things, I start to walk to the door when Claire called me "Hey Niall,". I look around and walk to her. "You gave me your number awhile ago, right?" Claire asks "Yeah." I say "I think you should have my number too. I mean it's not fair. You gave me yours and I didn't give mine." she says "You're right." I say. She gave her number.

"Oh and I would like you to meet my best friend. Her name is Lauren. Lauren Edwardson." Claire says "Nice to meet you Niall." Lauren says and shakes my hand "How did you know my-" I was about to say something when Lauren cut me "Everyone knows you, Niall! You're the most popular guy here." Lauren says "Oh okay," I say with a smile.

"You guys wanna hang out?" Lauren asks us while we're walking out of the school "Nah. I can't. I need to go home and do homework." Claire says "Yeah. Me too." I say "How 'bout tomorrow? It's Saturday." Lauren says with her arms crossed "Fine" Claire says "How 'bout ya Niall?" Lauren asks "Sure!" I say "So it's a deal for tomorrow." Lauren says and we nod. Me and Lauren exchanged numbers so she could tell me what time we need to go there at the mall tomorrow. "See ya guys tomorrow!" Lauren says "Bye!" Me and Claire says in unison and smile at each other.

"So later... do you wanna......" I say "Do what?" Claire asks "Do you want me to walk you to your house?" I ask "Umm sure. I'll tell you where." she says. Okay. To be honest, I like Claire a lot. Even if I just met her today. She's just so sweet and nice. Anyway, while we're walking to her house, we talked about us. What's our favorite stuff and what's something. We got to know each other and laughed at each others jokes. We arrive at her house "So here's my house." Claire says "Thank for walking me by the way." she adds and hugs me. I got a bit shocked but still hugged her back. She opens the door and waves me a last goodbye for the day. I also wave back and she closes the door.

I'll always remember this day when I met her.

I run to my room, close the door and locked it. I'm jumping around "OMG NIALL HORAN JUST GAVE ME HIS NUMBER AND I FEEL SO FREAKING HAPPY!!" I say while jumping on my bed. I lay on my bed and recalled all the memories awhile ago. He's so handsome.

I change my clothes to my sleeping clothes. I put my bag to the side and got my phone. I look at the paper Niall gave me and dialed his number.
