 I SEE Claire's mates sitting on a couch "Hey Niall," they greet me with a small smile "Where's Claire?" I ask with concern "She's in that room. She's.." Faith says "She's.. what?" I ask getting worried "She's got a lot of bruises and she has a black eye," "What happened to her?" "Brooke and her gang of mates bullied her in a corridor." Faith says. That Brooke b*tch again. I walk to the nurse, Ms. Abbey "Excuse me, may I see Claire?" I ask "I'm sorry Niall but she needs rest." she replies. I need to see her! I look at the clock. We still have 30 minutes before classes start. 

I go out of the clinic and go back to the cafeteria. I sit beside Harry and just look at the table. "Erm.. hello? Niall, are you okay?" Harry nudges me lightly "Claire got bullied by Brooke and her mates. I didn't see but her mates told me she got a black eye and a lot of bruises," I say "Brooke is seriously getting into my nerves," Liam says and puts his arm around his girlfriend, Sophia "I'm sorry to interrupt but who's Claire?" Sophia asks. Liam explains to her. "Not to be rude but why are you so very concerned about Claire?" Louis asks "I like her- erm.. I mean she's a good mate y'know," Why did I say that I like her?! So dumb Niall. "What? You like her?" Louis asks with a smile "Well.. you could say that," I say blushing "Our Irish lad is crushing on someone!" Harry cheers and laughs "Stop it! I just care about her. She got bullied." I say and they stop laughing.

I stand up from the chair and find Brooke's table. She sees me "Oh hi Niall," she says and kiss my cheek. I give her a pissed look. "What brings you here, babe?" she asks and wraps her hands around my neck. I can see people staring at us including my mates. As I was about to push her lightly when I hear a camera click. I look at my side and see Patricia, the photographer of the university's student newspaper, take a picture of us "What the hell was that, mate?!" I shout at her. I push Brooke lightly away from me. "Why did you do it to Claire?" I ask "Do what?" "Don't act like you didn't bully here, damn it!" I say "Why do you even care huh? She's not even your girlfriend!" Brooke says and crosses her arms "She's a very good friend of mine," I say "Let's make a deal here," she says "What? What the hell are you talking about?!" "We won't bully her anymore if you be my boyfriend until I say so," she says. This girl is unbelievable! "So what I'll just be your puppet or something?!" I exclaim "You'll do it or we'll bully her again." she says and looks at me. What the f*ck is happening? "Fine." I say with a faint voice. I'm doing this to protect Claire.

The bell rings signalling that lunch break is over. "See you later boyfriend." Brooke says emphasizing the word "boyfriend". I hate it so much. I walk towards my mates "What did she say?" Liam asks "She said I'll be her boyfriend so they won't bully Claire," I say "What the hell?! You're Brooke's boyfriend?!" Louis exclaims "I did it to protect Claire from their bullying." I say "Lads, that's what you call loyal." Louis says and pats my shoulder. Yeah, I guess I'm loyal to Claire. I'll do anything just to protect her from getting hurt. I know she's not yet my girlfriend but she's my girl best friend.

I sit on a bed inside the clinic. I feel so bad. My body hurts. I look at the clock and see it's time for my class! I stand up slowly. I can feel my side stinging from the pain. "Claire! Please don't do that! Your bruises haven't healed yet," Ms. Abbey says "But I'll miss my class!" I say "One of your mates, Avery are in the same class as yours. So I told her to tell the teacher that you won't make it." she says. I grab my phone and sit on the bed. I have a text from Lauren.
