"Mom! I am home!" Alicia announced as she entered her two storey lavish house. Mrs. Bell came rushing down the stairs in her stunning white suit, cramming some papers in her tote. "Hey Alicia." She greeted her only daughter "I am leaving for a quick business meeting. I will return at dinner time. I made you some lunch, it's in the refrigerator."

"Okay mom. Thanks." Alicia replied, absorbing all the information. "Is dad coming to the meeting too?" Mr. and Mrs. Bell both ran the company they owned.

"Yes ofcource. It's a very important meeting. If it goes the way we want, then we'll be signing a deal with one of the most significant firms in the area."

"Right. Well, good luck mom."

"Thank you sweetie." Her mother replied, affectionately. "Take care of the house."

With a quick peck on her daughter's cheek, she left the house. Alicia placed her school bag on the sofa and strolled into the kitchen. She was starving.

She opened the fridge as per her mother's instructions, and looked inside. Her mother had left cold pasta and fried fish inside. Although Alicia loved fish, today for a reason she couldn't understand she felt like eating the pasta. She grabbed the plate and fork and went to the living room. She switched on the TV and played the episode of 'Life of Kylie Jenner' that she had missed the previous day due to an English assignment.

Halfway through the show, she stopped watching. Her mind drifted to the biology class. She still couldn't fathom the spark that rushed through her when Leon's eyes met her. What was it about him that made her felt strange every time he looked at her. He was an introvert, a kind of nerd who never talked to anyone. Yet. She found herself be drawn towards him when he looked at her in the class. And why did she felt the need to defend him when Brandon was insulting him. She rarely cared about someone enough to make her defend the but here she felt wrong listening to Brandon's rants and felt the need to shield Leon from the absurd remarks.

Alicia shook her head. This was all so confusing. She needs to stop thinking about Leon. It's just a project that will last a couple of weeks. Once it's over, she and Leon will part ways. That's it.

As Leon opened his laptop to update his blog, his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID, The number was unknown. He picked it up. "Hello?"

"Hey Leon. It's Alicia."

He almost dropped the phone in surprise but caught it just in time. Never in a million years, he could have imagined, would a day come when Alicia Bell would be calling him herself.

"Hello Leon...There?" the voice from the phone inquired.

"Oh yeah...yeah." he stammered. "I'm here."

"Good." Alicia replied. "I wanted to discuss the arrangements of our meeting for the project tomorrow."

Leon sighed. He had known the call was about the project. Then why did he felt a twinge of disappointment.

"Uhh...yeah sure. What do you have in mind about that?"

"Well, as we discussed the other day we will be meeting tomorrow." Leon's heart thumped at the 'we'. Alicia continued "So I think we should meet tomorrow at Box tree café at 4pm. What do you think?"

"Yes. It's okay." Leon confirmed.

"Great. Then I will see you tomorrow. Bye."

"Bye". She hung up the phone.
