No daddy don’t leave me.
No daddy please wait!
Daddy you cannot leave me,
Locked up in this cage.
You told me you’d come back,
Why didn’t you protect me?
Mama’s boyfriend just hit me,
All bruised up is what I am.
The ghetto fields are haunting,
It mocks my very life.
Knowing that this is what I can reach,
No college in sight.
You brought me another mother,
How could you I was your girl.
Now you barely visit,
Because you replaced me with her girl.
Daddy don’t you understand?
I’m bleeding so much.
I see why you left me,
You couldn’t deal with my fuss.
I’m broken,
I’m knocked up.
I’m bleeding,
It’s crying.
You see what you did here,
You left me in this life.
Daddy don’t you come back,
I hate you, you know!
I’m desperate,
I hate myself.
Left alone in this world,
‘Cause mama died with her drugs.
Her ‘husband’ has custody,
Lame man got me in this mess.
My baby…his baby,
We cry in the bed.
So daddy I don’t blame you anymore,
‘Cause you were able to get away.
From this stupid miserable life.
She took you in her mess.
Down in the ghetto I lay here,
My baby in my arms.
No feeling can reach me,
My life has now stopped.
