I hide behind a thick mask,
So bright most don’t even ask.
Why the mask is even there in the first place.
The smiles you see are fake
No one can tell, no no,
That the smile is just pretend.
School is a beast I fear,
The teachers will never hear.
The pain I feel deep inside.
My parents are clueless,
Their only thought is I’m the best.
I see the mask works very well.
My mask will stay put,
For the next four years to come.
This object will be my only task.
The days will go by,
Slowly through time.
The extra face will become mine.
