I walked into the school and up the stairs. I gazed over at my locker to see my friends waiting for me. Ella, Ava, Katie, Isabella, Leah, and Lucy. "Bethany!" they yelled. I smiled and called back, "What!" I quickly ran over and they swarmed me. We all hugged. "Oh my gosh you bleached the ends of your hair?" Ava said in surprise. I laughed. " I also did the same to the ends of my ears and tail," I said as I spun around a couple times giggling as I hit Ava with my tail. After the warning bell rang we all scattered to get to class. I had homeroom with all of my friends luckily. Our teacher walked into the room and stood in front of the class. "Okay, class welcome to 10th grade," she addressed in an emotionless voice. "We are going to go around the room and say our name, age, and what part animal you are." I was first, I slowly stood up and spoke in a soft voice, "I'm Bethany, I'm 15, and I am part wolf." I sat down and the next person stood up. "I'm Ava, I am 14, and I am part arctic fox," she beamed. Lucy stood smiling, "hi, I'm Lucy, I'm 15, and I am part cat." Then next, "I'm Ella, I am 16, and I am part deer." Next, "I am Isabella, I am 15, and I am part owl." Next, " Hello, I'm Katie, and I am part eagle. She sat down relaxing her wings. Finally the last of the girls went. Hi, I'm Leah, I am 15, and I am part cat. the first half of the class was the girls (who just went), now there was the other half... the boys. "Okay class, it is time for the boys to go," the teacher added. The first boy stood. "I'm Turtle, and I am part turtle...also I am 15." "Hi, I'm Mr. Authentic, I'm 15, and I am part authentic." "I'm Chip, I am 16 and part German Shepherd."  "I'm Frito, I'm 16 and part Black Panther." "Hey, I'm Teacup, I am 17 and part Lynx." "Sup, I'm Mango, I am part Lemur and 15." "Hi, I'm Capri Sun, I'm 15 and part wolf."

My ears stood up as I smiled. We were the only wolves in the school since we were considered hostile not many were allowed in schools. Now well, at least I thought we were the only wolves. The door opened slowly and made a loud creak. A tall girl walked in. She was blond with brown wolf ears and tail. "Um, is this Mrs. Crab's class?" she said puzzled. The Mrs. Crab looked at her, "Yes, you are in the right place, you are the new student I assume?" "Yes I am," she said." "Then would you like to stand in front of the class and say your name, age, and what part animal you are?" Mrs. Crab smiled.  The girl walked to the center of the room and looked at the rest of the class. I could tell she was blushing when She looked at Capri Sun. "Hello, I'm Dawn, I am 15 and part wolf," she blushed. She went to take a seat. There was this row of the desk that separated the girl and boys, only because we liked it that way. Of course, Dawn sat at the front desk of the row separating the first front row of girls and boys, separating me and Capri Sun. We were all surprised that she didn't catch on that we all liked to be separated, and that there were five open seats on the girl's side. When Dawn realized what was happening she exclaimed, "I like to sit in the front center desk of the room!"

At lunch, I wouldn't shut up about Dawn. The girls clearly wanted me to shut up but I didn't until she came over. "Hey, can I sit with you guys," Dawn asked us. "Sure," I growled. "Bethany," Lucy hissed as she slapped me on the arm. "Ok I'm sorry," I explained, "I have a headache so I'm not in a very good mood." Dawn sat down with a smile. I kept eating my food with my ears down the rest of the lunch. After lunch, I had my Spanish class. I walked in and Dawn was in there too. "Is she going to be in like all my classes or something," I thought, "Especially because I have all my class with Capri Sun." I walked in and sat next to Capri Sun. He was fine with it because I always sat next to him in Spanish. We started to practice Spanish as Dawn came over and sat on the other side of Capri Sun. He could tell I wasn't very happy about there being another wolf. We started to talk to each other in Spanish because well that was the class. Dawn decided to chime in. He started to talk to her. I put my ears back and looked down at my Spanish book. "Estas bien (are you ok)," Dawn asked. I looked at her, "Sí, mi dolor de cabeza acaba de volver (Yes, my headache just came back). Two things, one we had to talk in Spanish and only Spanish in that class, and two I wasn't getting a headache, it was a stomachache. I'm afraid she's going to steal Capri Sun from me. "¿Es asi? (Is that it?)" Capri Sun said. "Sí (Yes)," I sighed. He looked at me. I could tell he knew I was lying. He raised his hand and the teacher called on him. "Puedo llevar a Bethany a la oficina, no se siente bien (Can I take Bethany to the office, she doesn't feel well), he said in a calm voice. I gently looked at him and then the teacher, "Pero estoy bien ... solo tengo un estomago (But I'm fine ... I just have a stomachache). The teacher looked at me and smiled, " Ir (Go)."

He took me down to the office holding my arm gently so I wouldn't fall. The office called my mom and she came to pick me up. She took me to the doctor and they said I had the flu. My mom took me to Dunkin Donuts after. She took me home and then went back to work. I sat at the counter and ate my Dunkin Donuts then went to my room and grabbed some pillows and blankets. I went back to living room and sat in the rocking chair. I turned the TV on to Disney Channel. I didn't care what was on, I just watched. By the time I finished my iced pumpkin spice coffee I was tired. I went back to my room and went to bed.
