Third person p.o.v.

Kara and Barry had taken Mon-El and Iris back into the city in an attempt to get them to talk to their parents and hopefully end this feud somehow. Kara went with Mon-El and Barry went with Iris. Hours passed and Barry and Kara met up again and began discussing what had happened as they walked down the dark, empty street.

"It seemed like it went well. I left them to talk it out but I think I successfully did it." Kara said as she walked alongside Barry, their hands occasionally brushing up against each other.

"Same for me," Barry said. He had the urge to grab Kara'sose hand but didn't. As much as he wanted to he knew he shouldn't.

"Did you hear that?" Kara asked Barry quietly. He nodded his head and they sped into the nearest building. "Do you know what it was?" Barry asked. "It sounded like someone was following us," Kara replied. "I'll go look, you stay here," Barry said as he stepped out of the building. Seconds later Kara heard a gunshot and rushed outside.

"Barry!" She said and ran towards him, kneeling beside him. She quickly used her x-ray vision to scan the area to make sure no one was there. "Kara," Barry whispered and Kara turned her attention back to him, her eyes slowly filling with tears. "You're going to be okay, Barry just hang on okay?" Kara said. She looked around, trying to find something to help.

She pulls off her cardigan and rips it, tying it tightly around his wound. "Kara..." Barry whispers again and Kara looks at him, tears threatening to spill out of her ocean blue eyes. She had used her x-ray vision to see where the bullet went. It hit a major organ. She knew he wasn't going to make it.

"Kara, I've wanted to say this for a long time and I should have done it sooner. I just never.. I never thought I could, I thought it would ruin everything we have.." Barry began slowly, struggling to get the words out.

"I love you, Kara. I've loved you before I even knew you. I should have said it before." Kara let a few tears slip from her eyes and Barry reached up and wiped them away, even though it caused him obvious pain.

"I love you too, Barry Allen," Kara said and leaned down, kissing him gently. The area around them slowly faded to white then went away.

Alex and Caitlin looked over to Kara and Barry as their eyes opened and they slowly sat up. They both looked over at each other and smiled slightly.
