Cassidy Weasley; a Hogwarts Story (VOLUME 2 OF SERIES)

Reason

The sizzling bacon in the pan filled the room with a delicious aroma, and Cassidy sat down for breakfast, clutching her book. 

"Morning Cass honey. Did you sleep well?" Evelyn Granger asked, her head stooped low over the pan. 

"Yes I did." she replied plainly, her head stooped low over her booklet, her pencil sketching away, her glasses slowly slipping down her freckled nose. Her wavy brown hair was tied in a messy high bun as she pulled her sleeves over her hands.

"I know yesterday was a bit scary for you, sweetheart. Can you tell be what happened?"

Cassidy sighed and closed her book. 

"Well, Rose, Lily and I were at the school gates, and the bell was about to go, when one of the Year 6's at school came up to me and asked for some money. I said I don't have any with me, and he started pushing me around. I got really upset, and turned around to go, but then I heard him yell. I thought he was making fun of me, but I turned around and he was lying on the floor. His nose was bleeding, and everyone was staring at me,"

Evelyn sat down beside her and stroked Cassidy's short hair.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there when you got home, Cass. But it's okay. Did daddy tell you why it happened?"

Cass shook her head.

Giving a heavy sigh, her mum began," I was going to wait until your letter, and you're still only 9, but I guess now you have to know,"

"The broken chair, the shattered window, everything, is all for one reason. Now I don't want you to panic, or tell your friends, okay?"

Cassidy nodded.

"You're a witch, Cass. So am I. Your dad, he's a wizard. Your Aunt is a witch, and so are Rose and Lily. You're not alone. Your family comes from a whole line of Witches and Wizards. I've never told you where I went to school when I was 11. That's because I didn't go to a normal school. I went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with your Aunt Hermione, Uncle Ron, Uncle Harry and Auntie Ginny."

Cassidy sat silently in disbelief. She couldn't even bring herself to talk. She was a witch! She knew there was a reason for all those incidents!

Just then her little sister Molly came strolling in.

"So, what did I miss?" 

Mother and daughter burst into laughter.
