"Aaaaargh, Molly!! Where did you put my comb?! I'm going to be late!" Cassidy groaned, storming along the balcony and banging on her sister's door. Yes, it was the day Cassidy's younger sister joined Hogwarts. What joy.

The door slid open and a face peaked through the gap.

"You won't be able to find it," she giggled. It was so not funny.

Cassidy screamed. She pushed the door wide open and began rummaging through Molly's belongings.

"Mum!" Molly yelled, twirling her hair, "Cassidy's looking through my-"

"All right, I get it! Just give me the ruddy comb and I'll leave you alone!!!"

With a pouting face, Molly reluctantly reached under her pillow and handed over the brush.

"Finally!" Cassidy grumbled, stomping back to her room.

23 minutes later, Cassidy, Molly and their father George arrived at the station. As they readied their luggage, Mr Weasley turned to them.

"Now Molly, your mother can't be here today- she's busy with a case at work- but she wishes you the best of luck. And Cassy, enjoy your second year honey." George smiled, kissing them both in the head. Cassidy smiled back and immediately went off in search of Albus and Scorpius. Molly stood stock still, her eyes welling with tears. She had no one to go to and no idea where to go. Cassidy, who was halfway down the station already, looked back, sighed, and came back before leading Molly through the crowd, with a miserable glance at her dad, who nodded encouragingly.

Cass spotted Scorpius, whose back was turned.

"Hi!" she exclaimed. He turned round, saw her and they hugged.

"How were your holidays?" he asked, not noticing Molly, until she coughed, which made him look down to her. He was taken aback, and was about to ask who she was, before Cass jumped ahead and said, "Oh, yeah, this is my sister Molly who's starting this year." she sighed. He gave her a fake disapproving look, before bursting into laughter.

"From that expression, it looks as if it's the saddest thing ever!" He glanced back at Molly, before saying, "I'm Scorpius Malfoy, nice to meet you!" he bowed.

Molly gasped.

"You're a Malfoy? But, but, why are you friends with him Cassidy? Uncle Harry wouldn't like it, and besides, it's bad enough Albus hangs around with him!" Molly exclaimed.

"Do you think I care?!" Cass snapped, who was aware that Scorpius was quite insulted.

"Oh look, there's a group of first year, why don't you go bother them instead??" Cass shoved her sister off in the direction of a huddle of confused-looking kids. Molly gladly joined them.

Cassidy turned back to Scorpius, "I'm so sorry about that. She's just a pain sometimes. Actually, no, she's a pain all the time,"

Scorpius grinned, "It's okay, I'm used to it,"

20 minutes later, Cassidy and Scorpius had found a compartment, and Albus had joined them.     He complained about his father (which he had quite frankly done all year) and yet again Scorpius and Cassidy had to listen to his complaining the whole way.

As they stepped off the Hogwarts Platform, and Al moved away, Scorpius sighed," Well, that was cheerful," whilst Cassidy try to contain her laughter.

In the Great Hall, after Molly had been sorted into Gryffindor with the other First Years, the meal began, its usual mounds of food ever so slightly larger than last year. Cass sighed— again she was on her own, as her friend Nell had completely lost interest in her after she started hanging with the two Slytherins. She glanced over at the Headmaster, who was in deep conversation with Professor Snape, and ceased the moment.

Without further ado, she ran over to the Slytherins table. All the 4th Year Slytherins looked at her with pure disgust, but her eyes soon met with Albus and Scorpius. Relieved, she sat down next to them.

"Slytherin, now, are we?" Albus asked quizzically.

"I wish. I just don't fit in with Ravenclaw."

"But you're smart. Surely you can talk geek with them or something?"

Cassidy looked insulted for a second, and Albus was ready to hurriedly take it back, when a grin spread across her face.

"Honestly, guys, you'll be the death of me,"
