Lucas Hemmings or as he was formally known as, blue eyes.
Lucas was the first of them all to find his gift. The gift he possessed was like no other, or at least so he thought.
Luke could use his mind to rewind time. If there was something in the world he didn't like he could change it.
But, with every power comes a consequence. Luke's power can only go so far back in time. Sometimes he's never able to meet the deadline.
When Luke was seven his father was killed in a terrible work accident. Luke remembers that day like it was yesterday, and boy he wished it was.
Luke's power only went for a days length of time. If something happened that he didn't like yesterday, he could change the outcome. He never told anyone about his gift for the fear that they would deem him crazy and lock him up.
He just needed someone to believe just someone.
--
Luke was walking home from his favorite coffee shop around eight o'clock when he accidentally bumped into a boy with a grey hoodie zipped all the way up with his hood on.
"My bad." Luke whispered making sure the boy was alright. "It's fine, I'm practically invisible." the boy smiled looking over Luke's features. Luke smiled at the comment, nodding towards the nearby bus stop. "You catching the two hundred?" Luke asked stuffing his hands in his pockets. "I was going too but, I lost my bus fare." The hooded boy shrugged adjusting the backpack he had on his shoulders.
Luke handed him the amount he'd need and still had change left over for himself. "I could catch it with you? I was gonna walk home but I'm feeling lazy." He smiled sitting at the bus stop bench with this boy.
"If we're going to take the bus together I suppose we should know each others names." The boy whispered pulling his hood off to revel a mess of blonde curls, "I'm Ashton." he smiled holding his hand out to Luke. "And I'm Luke." he whispered in response shaking Ashton's hand. "I was just going to call you blue eyes." Ashton chuckled taking a drink from a fairly large water bottle.
Luke smiled wide at the comment, turning to face him more. "So Ashton, where are you headed too?" he asked taking a sip of coffee. "Home. I take night classes at the university while my mother watches my daughter." Ashton explained.
Luke's eyes went wide at the fact Ashton had a daughter. He wasn't judging, he always thought about what kind of parent he would be. "That's pretty cool. I wish I had a kid. How old is she?" Luke asked hoping Ashton wouldn't mind the personal questions.
"She's two, her birthday just passed. Her mom left me alone with her, best thing that's ever happened to me." He smiled wide, he had a strong pride for his daughter and Luke could see it. Ashton then pulled out his phone, his lock screen was a beautiful little girl. She had bright green eyes and hair just like Ashton's "That's, her names Lila."
Luke looked at his phone, a wide smile on his face. "She's absolutely beautiful." He complimented watching as the bus pulled up. Ashton put his phone back in his pocket while him and Luke got on the bus.
After a very long ride of talking Ashton handed a paper to Luke, a phone number to be exact.
"See you later blue eyes."
He winked getting off at his stop leaving Luke in complete awe, maybe just maybe, he found his somebody.
