I Know Your Secret

At school the next day Kayden hung out with my friends at lunch. Kimmy didn't mind because she was still excited about that punch Kayden gave Amanda. She wouldn't have been too thrilled if she knew what happened when I dropped her off.

"What are you doing hanging out with these losers," Kaide said, sizing each of us up.

"These people are my friends." Kayden glared at him. "I don't have to do what you tell me to, and I most certainly can do whatever the hell I want." She had the same attitude with Kaide that she had when we first met her. In a way, I thought it was kind of cute.

"Just forget her Kaide," Jaxton told him grabbing his shoulder. Stupid football players, I thought to myself. Jaxton was the kid who stood by Kaide when Kimmy had caught him cheating on her.

"Ha, yeah." He joked with his football buddies. "I wish, but I would rather her not be turned gay by these homos." He grabbed Kayden's arm and started to drag her away.

"Let go of me," Kayden said yanking out of his grip. "You are not my keeper." Up until this point we had let Kayden deal with this on her own, but now things had escalated between the two. Kaide was yelling and he looked ready to hit someone or something.

"Kaide," I said standing up and putting my arm over Kayden's shoulder. "She is ours today, you have a problem with that just remember your jersey and your car." Kimmy's lips turned into a grin. "We can do that again. Kimmy knows what you drive." His car was an expensive model too.

"I'll report your ass." He glared at us all. "Kayden either you come with me now or we are done" The corners of his lips turned into a smirk.

"Bye, bitch." Sky said putting her arm around Kayden's shoulders too. "We won't let you do to her what you did to Kimmy."

"Lesbian." He hissed at Kayden. "I know your secret." Then he spat on the floor in front of us and walked off. Kayden just stood, wide-eyed.

Kayden (pov)

Kaide wanted me to go with him, but I didn't want to. He started making a scene in front of everyone in the lunchroom, but I let my stubbornness show. Sky and Taylor knew that too and they helped get him to go away.
"You're a what?" Sky asked me with wide eyes. "I would have never guessed."

"Please don't talk about it," I said looking down at my hands. I hope Kaide won't tell people. The whole football team already knew and that was more than enough. The only person who was supposed to know besides me was Taylor, and what happened hadn't even been intentional. I couldn't help but blush as I remembered kissing her, she just smelt so good I couldn't help, but do it.

"Oh. You're still." Sky whispered. "I got it."

Taylor (pov)

The rest of the day went by pretty fast, I was pretty sure that Kayden would need a ride after school because Kaide didn't talk to her for the rest of the day. Luckily I would get to meet her later since she was still tutoring me.

"Hey." I lightly bumped her shoulder. "Do you need a ride?"

"Yeah." She blushed when she looked at me.
"Don't worry about Kaide." I said, "If he does anything we've got your back. If he outs you, we will keep you safe as much as possible." Not that we had to, our school was fairly big on anti-bullying and discrimination. The only people who got away with it were the football players and the cheerleaders.

"What did Kaide do to Kimmy?"

"Back when they were dating he cheated on her," I said. "I'm sure you heard about what we did to his jersey and his old car?"

She started to blush again, "Oh yes, I have heard about that. Can we not talk about Kaide though?"

"Sure." She probably was upset about the breakup, whether she admitted it or not and I knew she was worried about if he would tell people about her. "So what do you like to watch on TV?"

"Just the usual stuff." She looked at her hands. "This isn't helping you get caught up."

"Eh, that can wait." I shrugged my shoulders. "If you don't have any plans you are always welcome to hang out with us by the way. After what you did, even Kimmy is proud to have you around."

"That was nothing." I could see the pink blush on her cheeks turn red. "She was annoying."

Several months had passed. Kayden was kicked off the cheer squad because of the breakup with Kaide and what he told them about her, she didn't let the nasty rumors get to her though. Taylor and Kayden slowly got closer and closer, Kimmy didn't mind but was starting to grow jealous. Sky was busy preparing for after high school more than the rest of us.

It was now the day before Christmas break, and classes were busier than ever. I had Kayden to thank for helping me finally get caught up in all my classes, we got slammed with tests every day of this whole week.

"Promise we will all hang out during break!" Kimmy said before getting in her mum's car.

"Definitely," I promised looking to Sky and then Kayden. I wanted to hang out, we had spent the whole month shopping for gifts for each other. I got Kimmy an electric blanket that I knew she was going to love, I got Sky a customized t-shirt that had our faces on it so she could never forget us, and for Kayden, I still wasn't sure what to do and time was running out. "Besides, we still have to figure out gift day, it can't be on the twenty-fifth though because I assume you will all be busy with family."

"We'll create a group chat to talk about it." Sky said impatiently, "I have to go, Luke is waiting." She ran off to her car leaving me and Kayden standing in the snow. Kimmy's mum had left after Sky said we would make a chat room.

"You still have snow in your hair," Kayden said, blushing. "It looks like you're old."

"Well it's not my fault you guys decided to attack me with snowballs." I laughed. I still needed to figure out what to get Kayden, all I could think about was asking her out. I'm sure she would love that with the way she always blushed when she saw me, but I wanted that to be between just us and maybe Sky.

Sorry that it's short and took so long to write, I had a block and other things on my mind. Partly because I was too tired to think and party because of school stuff.
