Kaydens (POV)

"Have you guys seen Taylor?"

"No, we thought that she was with you," Sky replied.

"No, I haven't seen her since this morning."

"That's odd."

"She told me she had to go home," Kimmy said. "She said she had something important to do."

I pulled out my phone and called her. The phone rang seven times and there was no reply, just the end message of Hey it's Taylor i can't answer your call right now. I called her mom, who said she had no clue why Taylor had to leave school.

"You know, she's been acting funny lately. We were making a bucket list and she told me that they were great except that she wouldn't be here for very long to do all of them." Kimmy spoke up after the conversation with Taylor's mum.

"We need to go, now!" Sky said, with a worried look on her face.

We left the school and piled into Sky's car. She sped the whole way and soon we were parked in front of Tay's house. Her car was there, and the front door was left wide open. Before anyone could say anything I bolted out of the car and into the house. It was quiet, too quiet. I went to her room but she wasn't there. I noticed a light in the bathroom, the door was shut so I tried the knob fearing the worst. The door was locked.

"Taylor!" I yelled banging on the door. "Please open the door." Nothing. Not a sound was coming from the bathroom. I pulled out my phone and dialed Tays mums number. Asked if she had a key to the bathroom, when she told me where it was I dropped the phone and ran to get it.

"Where is she?" I heard Sky ask, but I ignored her as I ran back to the door and unlocked it.

The first thing I saw were the pills and the cup sitting on the counter. Clothes were scattered from one side of the bathroom to the tub. The tub was filled to the point of almost spilling over, and Taylor. She lay there, almost lifeless with her head slowly beginning to slide under the water.

"Oh god!" Sky said walking into the bathroom. We ran to her and pulled her out of the tub. "Taylor, stay with us!" Sky was freaking out. I called 911 not sure what to do.

After the ambulance showed up everything seemed to be a blur. Taylor was carried out to the vehicle and I sat with her while Sky and Kimmy followed. Soon we were sitting in a waiting room, it was dead silent. I felt like I couldn't breathe. After about an hour a nurse came to us. "The patient can have visitors now, she OD'd on sleeping pills, but she will be fine now. She is lucky to have friends like you"

The nurse took us to the room where Taylor was being kept. Then left us alone with her.

"Taylor, you idiot. What were you thinking." I grabbed her hand and clenched it tightly. I looked towards Kimmy and Sky. "I'm going to go call her mum, be right back."

"Why would you do this to us!" The sky had water starting to collect in her eyes to form tears. "I know you've been having a rough couple of months, but why? You seemed to be getting better and adjusting." She put her face in her hands.

The next day

Taylor (POV)

I woke up in a strange room my body hurt and I was very thirsty. This wasn't the bathroom, the walls were painted white and the sun was peeking through the slightly drawn curtains that were a light teal. I think it's a hospital room, or I could be dead.

I didn't remember a whole lot about what had happened, just that I had got in the bath after taking some pills, or did I? My memory was foggy about what happened.

I heard the door open and someone walked towards me. It was a nurse, she was wearing putrid green scrubs.

"Good to see you are awake." She said looking down with a toothy grin, she handed me a cup of water as if she knew. "Your friends and family will be happy to know you are okay." She was changing the IV bag that was attached to the other end of the cord that was attached to the needle in my arm. When she was done she left without saying anything. Shortly after three people came in, Kimmy, Sky, and Kayden.

"You idiot," Kayden said with a very concerned look. "I thought we were going to lose you." Tears started to form in her eyes.

"You should have just told us what was going on," Sky said angrily. "It's a good thing we love you." She paused for a second. "Oh, and your mum sends her love. She had to go to work for an emergency or she would be here right now."

"We would like to have her be put in a psych ward for a couple of weeks to make sure that she is mentally stable, and then when she is released, we would like her to be under constant surveillance by friends and or family to make sure this doesn't happen again. As for medications in your house, we recommend you hide them and keep track of what you give her." The doctor said in an almost monotone voice to which my mum just kept nodding her head.

The Doctors wanted me to stay in the hospital for one more night to make sure that the amount of pills I took didn't hurt anything. It was a long night and I felt like I couldn't sleep. They didn't know how many I had taken because they had all mostly dissolved by the time I was found and brought to the hospital. My mum sat next to me while the doctor explained what was going to happen. They asked me questions about why and if this was something that had gone on for some time. They also asked my mum if any major things had happened that might have made me feel this way. I felt emotionless and like I had no control over what was happening.

The psych ward in our hospital was fairly small, but the nurses in this section were amazing kind, and very good at their jobs. I had been here for about eight days, with someone checking up on me every hour or so.

"Lunch time." The nurse said distracting me from my thoughts. She had a younger boy with her in scrubs, he looked as if he was new to the job. "Always be polite to the person you are helping. I will let you do this one on your own to see how you do." The nurse turned on her heel and walked out.

"Here is your food." The guy said " Bring my food over, it was the same as usual. "I'm Ethan. Is there anything you need?" He eyed me up and down as if to be reading me. "Hospital food, nasty ay."

"Definitely." I laughed. "You look a little young to be working in a hospital."

"Say that I am." He grinned. "Part of my course says that I have to volunteer in a hospital to get experience."

"Oh. So you are a know-it-all want-to-be a doctor."

"A nurse. I think it's intriguing." He laughed.

"So you're a fan of bathing old people and feeding them and preparing for the big man to do all the work."

"Say what you want." He said defending himself. " It is quite fun."

While I was in the psych ward I became close friends with Ethan. He was a slender but strong nineteen-year-old, with black hair and freckles. His eyes were light turquoise colored. It turned out he was attending college in town and he was trying to make friends because he was from around these parts. With Ethan here, the rest of the days seemed to fly by, and soon I was back home with my mum. Ethan gave me his number so I could call him if I ever wanted to hang out or invite him to hang out with my friends.
