With time passing, it had been a weird transition for everyone involved.
The majority of people at Oh Corp's photograph studio had no clue their main model had been switched with another, just the three important men within the project. Mirasol felt a little out of place as she had been greeted into the establishment as Jovelyn, welcoming her for the day like nothing had changed. But no longer was she really pretending to be her sister now, so who knows how everyone would react to that. She could only hope to get some help from Tao, Luhan, and (unfortunately) Sehun.
She may have gotten a bit more brownie point for bringing, well, homemade brownies to subtly commemorate her official first day at the job. Fun fact, the brownies were mixed with the organic cinnamon that was included in Sehun's gift to her. And another fun fact, the brownies were mostly really made not to welcome herself in, but her outlet to relieve the nervousness she had for the day's photoshoot.
The actual Jovelyn herself had been acting strangely, in Mirasol's opinion. She had been giving her very useful pointers and advice when it came to posing in front of the camera. It was just a weird experience, since knowing how awkward the situation was that she had taken away Jovelyn's modeling position without much of a fight. But her sister seemed normal, she continued on to work like normal. It would be a lie to say Mira wasn't worried, but she decided it would be best to let it go for now. She had been learning much as a rookie model, and ever since witnessing her sister doing it so many times before, Mira truly did feel like her twin's talent was beginning to rub off on her.
Besides, the photoshoots helped the Choi sisters' financials greatly.
Everything looked to be going well, to be honest.
... except for the fact that Mirasol's nightmares have become more prominent and repetitive, as well as some headaches during the day.
But, really, she could handle those.
Despite that small downfall, the modeling job had greatly boost Mirasol's confidence. No longer had she felt like being a homebody, she finally wanted to do something for herself outside of the apartment complex. So for a random Friday afternoon, Mira took it upon herself to get their much needed groceries, rather than have Jovelyn do it for her.
So, while putting on some decent (yet still slouchy) clothes for the public, as well as a simple black cap to go over her messy hair, she was out to go run her first independent errand.
The walk from the apartment complex to the closest grocers hadn't been long, in fact, it was a pleasant stroll over with the heat not being too bad.
Mirasol gotten her shopping cart and went ahead to get whatever the apartment needed. Vegetables, meats... some of her most desired snacks as well as Jovelyn's. Upon seeing some of the fancier package of greens Jovelyn usually eats for her diet brought an unamused look on Mira's face. She can never understand how her sister could eat such rabbit food.
The grocery trip was in the most part successful, as she was about to get her favorite cereal from the designated aisle. It had been a bit of a search, since grocers interior was very much still new to Mira. Eventually, she found it much to her relief, and she grabbed a box of Froot Loops from the second highest shelf.
"Jovelyn, is that you?"
Mirasol froze upon hearing the faintly familiar voice. She whipped her head towards the owner of the voice and her eyes met a man's she had never met before directly. She nervously gulped as a undeniably handsome man with tousled brown locks approached her.
"Jovelyn, its been ages!" The man chimed, a smile in awe at the sight of her. Mira noticed how deep his dimples were. "I'm really digging this look, simple but yet you still look so pretty."
Mira had to scrounge up her courage, because really, she didn't want to mistake the man who seemed very kind... and yet was tricked by her sister's flirtatious ways.
"I-I'm sorry, but I don't know you."
The girl inwardly cursed herself. She could've just replied that she was the sister, but for some reason, that didn't want to leave her lips like her brain wanted it to.
The man held a confused expression, his thick eyebrows scrunched together. "What? It's only been a couple months since we last seen each other," he murmured out. "Hongbin, Lee Hongbin?"
Now that she heard the name, Mira could briefly remember it being mentioned a couple times before from Jovelyn. She was even shown a picture of the two of them at a club where they had met. If she remembered who Hongbin was correctly, the two of them were practically only friends with benefits... less on friends, more as just mere acquaintances. But the moment Hongbin voiced how he wanted to date Jovelyn, she had dropped him instantly. She then moved on to a man named... um, Wonho?
Or was it Dongho?
Again, Mirasol can never keep up with all the men that came into her twin's life.
"Ah, Hongbin," she murmured out, her hands still fumbling with the cereal box in hand. "You see, I'm not Jovelyn. I'm her twin sister, Mirasol."
She wasn't expecting an amused scoff from the man. "Twin sister? She told me she was the only child."
Oh.
"Jovelyn, don't play around like that. Just because you changed your clothing style doesn't mean I wouldn't recognize you." He had stepped forward and tried to reach for her arm. Mira instantly flinched back, clearly alarmed by the initiation of skin contact. Hongbin gave a frown. "You know, I've tried calling you and everything. I confessed my true feelings and you just dropped me off the face of the earth without any answer. Don't you think you're being a little too mean to pretend to not know me?"
"Seriously, I don't know you. That was my sister," Mirasol defended herself, taking a couple steps away from this Hongbin guy. All she wanted to do was escape, but now she wasn't sure if she should. "I'm really sorry for what she had done to you."
Hongbin looked to be in disbelief. "Yah, this is really taking it too far, don't you think? Can't we, at least, try to be friends or something?"
Alarms are definitely going off in Mira's mind... or was that because a headache was starting to form? It was probably both.
"Please, I'm telling the truth--"
A figure then stepped in front of her. "Excuse me, shouldn't you have a bit more trust in people? If the girl says she's not the one you're looking for, then you should believe her and move on."
Mira's eyes bulged once recognizing the low voice and the broad shoulders in front of her.
"Now, my girlfriend was telling the truth, her name is Mirasol. And I don't like how uncomfortable you're making her by your careless mistake," the Oh Sehun growled at quite a vicious tone towards the other man. Eyes narrowed in a deathly glare and his posture to show how defensive he was, Sehun showed a kind of brute protectiveness that surprised Mira.
But honestly, despite their messed-up relationship, she couldn't have been any more happy to see the young heir to save her.
A/n: So, I could've added another exo member as Jovelyn's, ahem, toy. But why not just mention every other bias I have from other groups instead? (Since its least likely that I'd make a story with them)... maybe I'd make one for Dongho but, who knows 🤷🏻♀️
